“The food here was very good some of the best Gordita's I have had and the queso was very good. All the other food coming out looked great also. Stop in for sure if you are staying close by you won't be disappointed. Check for hours though I don't think there open every day.“

“was passing thru Mason at lunchtime today & stopped at Rico's. I had never been here before, just wish we lived closer- - I'd quickly become a regular!! this is a clean, friendly restaurant; their food is excellent. I got their Piccadilly Gorditas, a friend had their Green Chicken Enchiladas, another friend got a Beef Fajita Chimichanga. Their complimentary chips & salsa are good. They have a verde salsa that's fiery hot & delicious. Our waiter was busy, but prompt & very attentive. Be sure to order a couple of their mouthwatering, very tasty handmade flour tortillas.“

“Mi Pueblo came in after Covid killed the fine Tex-Mex restaurant that was there before it. I miss my buddy Jr., but I'm really happy with this new place. The Carne Quisada is OUTSTANDING! Al Pastor with nopales is terrific! BTW, I've never had nopales before and I'm glad I took the "risk". They cooked it with the meat and it was scrumptious! IMHO, one of the most important, distinguishing features of good Mexican restaurants are the salsas. The red stuff has to have a nice bite with a little bit of sweet. Mi Pueblo has it nailed! The green salsa is also fantastico! The other thing I look for is how well they prepare Carnitas. I originally tried the Guisada because it was the daily lunch special...and I've been kind of stuck on it. It's THAT good! This week I tried the Al Pastor. It was definately worth having again. I've tried their enchiladas and tacos, both excellent. But I haven't tried their carnitas? What's wrong with this picture? I really must remedy that oversight. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are good sized and the price is right. Oh, and their sweet tea is properly made Texas style. Give this place a try if you're ever in Kingsland. I'm pretty sure you'll like it.“

“Stopped at Nachos at lunchtime for a bite on my way from PHX to Austin. There were quite a few cars in front which is usually a good sign. The service was friendly and prompt, the chicken chimichanga was great, and prices were fairly reasonable. Would recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone who enjoys Mex food.“
