“I've now been here 3 times in the past 2 weeks so figured it was time to post a review. I took some pictures during my first visit which I'd shared with family. So far I've tried dishes with 3 of their proteins: asada in a classic burrito, pastor in a taco with cilantro & onions, and amazing carnitas for lunch today on a carnitas plate with rice, beans, & pico de gallo. All were very tasty and tasted like they were served hot off the flat top. Also haf a chile relleno lunch plate which was excellent, coated in egg batter and filled with white gooey cheese and ground beef. Their refried beans are great as is their rice. Chips and salsa are complementary. The table salsa is very good, a bion the mild side. They also have red & green hot sauces which are exactly as they should be: hot! Hint: add a little of the red hot sauce to the sauce for the chips. It really wakes it up.“
“Stopped by today and WOW. They have a really good menu, tacos, tortas, quesadillas, breakfast tacos, and burritos I had the Mini Tacos Al Pastor. Plenty of flavorful meat and just the right amount of onions and cilantro. You get a choice of green or red sauce. I went with the red. It was tangy and savory. A cup of Charro beans accompanied the tacos. The overall flavor of my meal was outstanding. If you are in the area, I strongly recommend you stop by.“
“Stopped by on the way outta town for a quick lunch. Not disappointed! The barbacoa tacos were and the charro beans were loaded! (Even had the sliced hot dog which I haven't had in a long while) I'm usually picky about the Spanish rice at restaurants, but they nailed it here. The soda just comes in a can, instead of over ice, which was the only draw back. Over all, very good tho. Will definitely be back when we come to town again.“
“Great Restaurant the food is the best tacos you can find . Love it have gone to Rita’s for decadesVegetarian options: Bean, cactus, cilantro, onion, etc option to put in a taco.Dietary restrictions: Can order the ingredients you can have. Pretty flexible on building a tacoParking: Plenty of parking plus a drive throughKid-friendliness: Kids even picky eaters love it hereWheelchair accessibility: Easy to move around, drive through options,y wheelchair ramp“
“Service: when I came in, no body said hello, I sat down for several minutes, no body came to wait on me until I asked for a wait staff. They were playing on their phones, watching TV and talking to each other. Only one couple was there besides me and they had already eaten. So the place was not busy. My waitress was an illegal who didn't know English so she go someone else to help me. My waitress did a great job. The beef soup was delicious. Thx“
“Local restaurants are the best! We asked for a dining recomendation at Gibson's Store. I had tamales, eggs and refried beans. My sister had a brisket sandwich, and her husband had a brisket tamale. The food was like a home cooked meal. The service was great too.“
“My food was ready very quickly, which impressed me...and the food was absolutely magnificent! First time eating there, I understand now why everyone has such great things to say! Thank y'all! Absolutely delicious, friend people and speedy service!“
“My wife and I have been coming to Mamacitas for several years now and ALL my meal experiences have been very enjoyable. We normally order the Fajitas for 2 and I have to say the Fajitas are the Best I have ever eaten, always extremely tender and loaded with flavor. I would also like to thank John who waited on my wife and I, he provided awesome service!!!!“
“Popped in for lunch after reading fellow Yelper reviews! What a treat! My husbands chicken enchiladas were perfect, and my carnitas were delicious! Watch out for that orange salsa...mucho caliente! The highlight on my plate was the nopalitos! Our server was so delightful with his cute humor, efficiency & beautiful smile! We will definitely visit again...soon my husband says!“
“Since there are 2 Taco Casa locations in Kerrville, I want to start by specifying this review is for the one located on the west side of town, on 891 Junction Hwy.The food here is very good. The super tacos are very delicious and they go very nice with Nachos. One drink I highly recommend is their half and half tea-lemonade, known there as "swamp water". Don't ask me why it's called that lol.---The only problem I have with this location specifically is their outdated speaker system from employee to driver in the drive-thru. Apparently the device in question is over 30 years old (older than me mind you). To use it, you gotta put your head close to the device and press a button to speak. I have not tried it, but you can see it in action if you are at the order counter inside and I must admit it looks awkward to use. With that said, when you go through the drive-thru, the employee taking your order sounds very static-y. Sometimes I can barely hear the employee at all. So if your hard of hearing like my mom is, I suggest going inside for placing your order if possible.Hopefully the owner of the location will consider upgrading to 21st century tech and use headset microphones like many other drive-thru equipped restaurants. In conclusion, the food at Taco Casa is good, so I do recommend stopping on in(side).P.S.I have not done the drive-thru at the 1215 Sidney Baker St, location. Next time I am in the area, I'll be sure to see if their drive-thru sound system is better or not.“
“Great food as always. Line was a little long but it moved quickly. The employees were patient with me while I couldn’t make up my mind. The parking lot was a little odd to get in or out of but nothing too crazy. Stopped in from a road trip. Will likely stop again on the next trip through the area.Kid-friendliness: Their menu is easily customizable for that picky eater. The atmosphere is perfect for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking spaces with doors that open up wide enough to get in. Tables with chairs that can be moved out of the way for a wheelchair.“
“Stopped in because they had a patio and o had my little chihuahua with me. The server was so attentive and sweet to my little dog! She was one of the best servers that I have ever had! She checked on us consistently and made sure that we didn't feel forgotten. The food was worth it. I recommend that you stop and get the pozole and the orange flan. Going to make sure this is a for sure stop when I come back.“
“Wow!! First off the music selection we heard was olds 80's...thank you. It was great to reminisce while sipping on our delicious margaritas. The chips are fried fresh and salsa was tasty. Best charro beans ever!!Best Mexican food we've had in a while. Our server was super nice and smiled the whole time. We'll be back!“
“I am an employee of DEL norte restaurant I've worked in California Denver, Colorado Rapid City South Dakota And Emmett Idaho And I can tell you by far this is the best best placeservice food clean and people with a heart And a passion for excellent food Try it out you will be “
“Went here for the first time for my husband's birthday. Nice pleasant, place to eat. Staff was polite and attentive. Food was good, but nothing outstandingly good. The margaritas were a notch down from great. There was not enough tequila so the taste was too sour. The atmosphere was nice in the bar, where we ate, and the chips and salsa were very good.“
“Friendly, attentive staff, our host was still learning the ropes but our waitress knew them inside out. Seated quickly during a holiday weekend lunch, there was never any delay with our drinks or food. Price is on point and the servings were generous. Kids plates were heaping, they got the popcorn shrimp and chicken strips respectively, both with fries, and I can recommend both because I sampled them. ? The chicken flautas were also good, but not the best I’ve ever had.If you like enchiladas, this is NOT the place to order them. They weren’t inedible but they were definitely bland and just not flavorful at all. I wasn’t alone in thinking this, my dining companion ordered a combination plate and said that the enchilada was the least appealing item on it. Side note, the chips and salsa here are YUUUUMMM! And free!!!“
“Maybe coming from out of state, we don’t get the complaints. These are breakfast tacos not burritos. The tortillas are delicious and fresh, the beans and eggs are fresh , hot, and delicious. The staff could not be nicer. The tamales are full of meat, surprising. We saw the line out to the street and jumped in. We are very pleased with this shop. RecommendParking: Drive through only“
“A San Antonio staple, whether you are visiting or a local, this place is a mandatory stop. I've been here several times over the years but most recently last night for a large family get together. Our party was over 20 and the restaurant did their best to accommodate our size. Our server was great. The food is always amazing, fresh, authentic, and flavorful. You must try the puffy tacos, I recommend the Mexican cheese plate which includes one puffy taco, two cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. If you're over the age of 21, I highly recommend the jalapeño margarita. This adult beverage only comes in a small, because it packs a punch. Its hold the highest amount of liquor they are able to put into a single drink. Great atmosphere, clean bathrooms, lots of seating.“
“I can't rave enough about Jacob's rapid service! Not only did he serve up some mouthwatering sizzling fajitas, but he also sprinkled in a generous side of laughter. The atmosphere was lively, the other staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you're craving tasty Tex-Mex with a side of fun, Acapulco's is the place to be!“
“I come here often and they always get my order right, and tacos are always tasty. However today the tacos were devine. The moment I took a bite, it was like little leprechauns rushed on my palate and started dancing.I'm not athletic however I acquired a burst of energy and did a full blown hill tap with how delicious this taco was. Will definitely keep going.“
“Qdoba chicken is awesome. I had the quesadilla with cheese, chicken and sauce. Also had guacamole and sour cream. Huge flour tortilla big enough for 2 people. Every individual working there said, hello and goodbye. Very nice people. If you're looking for a small place to eat, this is the place. 6 or 7 tables inside and 3 or 4 outside. I really enjoyed the meal, but a little on the pricey side. I will eat here again.“
“Love this place! Queso is thick and creamy, portions are plentiful, and staff are always nice. Definitely would recommend if you've got a big appetite and need reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: Got a whole section of menu that is meat free.Kid-friendliness: Definitely very kid friendly as long as your kid likes Mexican food. However they do have a lot of cool little treats and toys up front so if yours cries when they see something they want and you won't buy it watch out!Wheelchair accessibility: Should be pretty smooth as long as you can get someone to hold the door for you. There is parking and a ramp, though one half of the restaurant is a little narrow furniture wise and a wider chair might bump into things.“
“lovely and yet underrated/undiscovered place, food is hands down: fast, fresh, delicious. menu is not too big, but very well thought through. my waffle tortillas (or tortilla waffles?) were a little bit too salty (bacon, sausage, cheese), and IMHO would benefit from a little of a sour cream on the side, but overall it's just a genius idea. I enjoyed it.“
