“We had the pleasure of visiting this cute coffee shop while visiting from California. The decor and ambiance are awesome. All of the employees we interacted with were nice and informative on our coffee questions. The seating areas are Super comfy and spacious. This is a great study and work environment. Now my only critique is within the bathrooms, there are no changing tables for the babies so parents, bring your stroller accessories to get the job done. The coffee itself is very smooth, just a little acidic and a bit flowery. It was ‘murder me im Irish’ theme.One, the building is in historic grapevine and is just beautiful. I love the historic homes.I’m not a huge alcohol drinker, so I was BEYOND estática when they had a non-alcoholic drink for me. It was very sweet (think welche’s grape juice- sparkling), and lasted the night.Our dinner was upstairs in a private area. Everybody who came was dressed up, and ready to participate, which is always a bonus. There was a large crowd. Maybe 30 people? The upstairs isn’t large. So if felt like more.The dinner isteself is a little pricey ($200 for 2 people), but worth it in my option. They had decorated for the night, served us 3 courses, and it seemed like it was an open wine bar?Our servers were prompt, the dinner stayed on schedule, and the food was honestly delicious. It might look like small portions, but it fills you up fast.Our murder host was fabulous and upbeat. Loud.At the end of the night, I was the only one to solve the murder! But they had awards for best dressed, and best actor.Highly recommend“

And for BBQ we were blown away by the brisket Mac and cheese bowl and the Birria tacos - so so good! They also had some live music - perfect combo for a Friday night. “My favorite favorite coffee shop!! Not only is the place aesthetically pleasing, the coffee is by far the best I’ve had in the DFW area. You just get picky with coffee when you’re from Seattle. My second time here the other day, macchiato was kind of disappointing. This will not stop me from revisiting. I loved my americano, lavender latte and honey + vanilla latte. “Love that West Oak is open until 9pm, it makes for a great place to study after dark that isn’t on campus. Besides that, their coffee is phenomenal! I wish they had a few more flavor options, specifically sugar free options, but they have plenty of sugar free sweeteners available to accommodate.The baristas are knowledgeable and very helpful. West Oak is a staple on the square and I highly recommend it for studying, a quick coffee break, or a gathering place for friends.“

“The food was ok. The fish was a bit overdone and the potatoe salad was a bit underdone. Portion size was good. The short ribs were really good. Brisket sandwich was good, not great. The service however was terrible. She knew it and never made an effort to do better or apologize. For the price, maybe eat elsewhere before voming for the music. We loved the music.“
