“I’ll never turn down a visit to this spot ! Food is great staff is friendly, the frozen drinks are great too! I’ve spoke with the owner a few times and he’s super friendly, and a NY native like myself. The only thing I wish they’d do is an actual website or even app to place orders. I don’t mind using google but it was a bit confusing with the verbiage used on the online menu ( until I got the hang of it). I hope this place continues to thrive even more than it has!“
“Since moving to Austin this is our #1 Mexican restaurant they are always consistent with the food the seasoning, sauce and of course friendly faces. Tonight we ordered the carne asada papas it was absolutely mouth watering and HUGE portion. I thought I missed Roberto's from Las Vegas after tonight's dinner "who's Roberto's". LolCarnitas quesadillas the hubby can eat this everyday he said it was juicy, cooked to perfection and enough for 2 peopleThis is my go to when we want Mexican food done right“
“I'm so glad we tried this place. It was our first time going, so I didn't get to experience the old menu. The new menu is very limited, but the food was delicious! The only reasons I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is that the bone-in wings came out a bit cool, and the fries were not so crispy. My group will definitely be going back because the food was super delicious! I hope those little things will improve as time goes on. The service was great, the area was clean, and the atmosphere was perfect for watching some sports or hanging with friends.“
“Y'all need to have Ham Bonz at the top of your list. It is AMAZING! We went for an early Sunday supper and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was gospel Sunday! Great live pianist/vocalist singing so well even an atheist would tap their toes. I got the fried chicken with 3 sides - greens, yams, and mac n cheese. Honestly choosing just 3 was one of the hardest decisions of my entire life (so I'll be going back again very soon). I did steal some mashed potatoes from my husband, which are only available on Sunday and they are worth waiting all week for. But the star is THE FRIED CHICKEN I don't know what kind of magical process goes into creating a crispy thin skin with so much integrity...it is phenomenal. No skin sliding off, perfectly cooked, and no heating lamps here. Do yourself a favor and eat here ASAP. Waitstaff is attentive and super nice - we had a lovely meal!“
