“Sunday I woke up craving some authentic Mexican food, particularly a gordita, and found this hidden gem! I’ve lived in Bastrop for 2 years now and am disappointed that I’m barely discovering this place. The Gordita did not disappoint!! The meat was tender, juicy, and delicious! My wife enjoyed her street tacos, the Al pastor was her favorite! But it was the quesabirria that stole the show! The dipping juice was so flavorful and they gave us plenty of it! They were sold out of the tripas when we went so def will be going back to try that! Friendly service and delicious food! Can’t beat it!!“

“Not sure what happened in the past, but this place has really upped their game. Everything I have ordered has been delicious! Breakfast tacos were outstanding…more like burritos due to the quantity. The cooks were working hard to fill orders and it was worth the wait! It’s all made fresh, even the tortillas.“

“Update: I enjoy this place very much but have to say it depends on who is working the food truck. Today I ordered two plates one of enchiladas and the other carnitas. The enchiladas were okay. Not a lot of flavor, the carnitas was ok. The meat was not as tender as I think it should be. Carnitas has been great in the past. It was supposed to come with tortillas but they forgot them. It just depends on who's working. I hate to say it, but the gentleman that was working tonight was not the best. Good to know if information; if the women are working. The food is outstanding and the items ordered are correct and you get everything you asked for. Just my opinion

Have to tell you this food is spot on. We have had lots of Mexican food from all over the country and from outside of the United States . The food is authentic Mexican flavors that are outstanding. We had the Chicken fajitas and the Barbacoa burrito. We will definitely be going back to try some of the other food they have. I almost forgot the salsas they have are perfect in flavor and spicyness.“

“I went on December 5 around 9pm for a grub after a school performance. Writing this to compliment the 2 staff I saw working there. When I entered I noticed the staff was cleaning and I instinctively asked if they were closing. The guy smiled and said no.
We ordered 2 flauta combos + sopapillas. The flautas were hot & crunchy. The sopapillas were not soggy! The restaurant was clean.
It was a young black guy and latina woman working. I saw him take out the trash, and the Latina woman continuing to sweep. She even checked on us as we ate. Thank you.“

“First time here and inside the restaurant is clean and cool to dine in. I came here to order breakfast which they do not serve it, but the young lady working the counter saw how much I wanted to order it for my dad . so she made an exception. Now that I know they don’t serve breakfast, of course I won’t ask for it again, but I was having a bad experience at another taco truck so and went there so I would of understood if they couldn’t make breakfast. But I was deeply moved that she took it upon herself to go above and beyond to make sure that I left their establishment happy. I’m very happy! The food is for my dad and it meant a lot to me that she came through for me in such a positive way. Thank you to the lady taking my order and going above and beyond. I will never forget what you did for me today. Referrals Colin your way!!“
