I grew up eating at this restaurant at least twice a week during the 70's and 80's. Always had great food and service. Recently we ate lunch there after all these years and sad to say I was disappointed. Not like I remember the food at all. I had such high expectations and I also know that things change over time. So it is what it is. Even though the food wasn't the same, the atmosphere was great!
My Friend and I were here on 04/11/2018 and as soon as we sat down, we got waited on by Angela and another young lady that she was training. We had order the Chicken Fajitas!!! It was served on a hot skillet!!! so it was Chicken, bell peppers, onions on the hot plate!!! and than a side plate with rice, beans, salad, sour cream and guacamole with your choice of corn or flour tortillas!!! Closed, Im very, very sad to say. This great restaurant has served Brownwood for more than 50 years but just cant keep it together with the new generation of family owners. Its a huge loss for all of us who loved Gomez's.
