“Don’t judge a book by its cover! Los Vaqueros may look unassuming from the outside, but if you pass it up, you’ll regret not trying it sooner.
The place is clean and tidy inside, with all booth seating and a huge menu on the wall—tons of burrito options and a classic breakfast selection (no Migas, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker). The young man at the register was polite and efficient, and we got our order in just before the rush hit.
A friendly server brought us homemade chips—hot, crispy, perfectly salted little triangles of corn tortilla goodness. The salsa bar is a dream: spicy salsas, green sauces, pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions. We like it hot, and the salsas delivered!
I had the Huevos a la Mexicana—scrambled eggs with jalapeños, tomatoes, and onions, served with rice, beans, and fresh homemade tortillas. The eggs were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I would’ve loved fried potatoes instead of rice, but that’s on me for not asking.
My husband got the carne asada burrito, which was massive (seriously, the size of my head!). He’s usually super picky, but he devoured it and kept saying, “We’re definitely coming back here for breakfast.”
By the time we left, the place was packed with people picking up orders and waiting for tables. That says it all.

What really put everything over the top were the salsas, the red and green both had amazing flavor with just the right kick. And my absolute favorite? “I have been visiting this location over several years and the speed service has been my only complaint. I noticed that this improved once a new employee named Slade started working here. He was very polite and helpful and I was almost shocked at how fast my food was ready. Definitely have been visiting more often and have had the same great experience every time. 5 stars!“

“Don't hesitate, just go here. I ordered the tacos to-go and they were generously stuffed and seasoned perfectly. But I have to give a special shout-out to their salsa. It's fresh, vibrant, and has the kind of flavor that makes you want to put it on everything. I'm already planning my next trip back and I'll be asking if I can buy a jar of that amazing salsa to take home. Excellent food!

“As far as the restaurant, I cannot comment on that as I've not been there, but as far as the meat selection and the variety of meat, produce, and dried peppers, it is fantastic. They have a great cost per pound and their meat is rock solid fresh. I would recommend driving out there and picking up some meat for your next cookout.“
