“Went in yesterday driving through glenrose. Guy the street tacos and the wife got the fajita chicken chimichonga that she split with my mom. I really liked my street tacos but the wife reported that the chimichonga was not very good as did my mom who halved it with her. On the plus side, one of my favorite things about Mexican restaurants is the chips and salsa before the meal. Or waitress kept our chip bowl full and the salsa was pretty good despite being very mild. The waitress was great on all counts. I'd still recommend this place just not the chimichanga; that's silly texmex anyway. I wouldn't mind going back and trying other things.“
“Headed home from Fort Worth on Hwy 281, we passed right by this place. We decided to try it and weren’t disappointed. The server was super sweet and told us all about the menu. I got the Chicken Fried Steak plate (of course) and my wife got the Cheeseburger combo. We were also offered chips and salsa.Chicken Fried Steak 8/10 - the CFS was pretty damn good! The only thing I would have changed was to cook it a wee bit longer to get the crust a tad crispier. The flavor was great though and it was tender enough. The gravy was good as well. The Mashed Potatoes were homemade and whipped fine. The Fried Okra as average.Cheeseburger 9/10 - my said it was one of the best burgers she’s ever had. She got it with a homemade Jalapeño bun, with all the fixings. It came with Seasoned French Fries which were delicious. The patty was thick and the veggies were fresh. Great combo if you ask me.Chips and Salsa 5/10 - the salsa was ok, nothing spectacular. Chips were just ok as well. It was a decent appetizer.Service 9/10 - Josie was our server and was phenomenal. Very attentive and helpful. Wish there were more like her!!Atmosphere 7/10 - the restaurant was a little older, but cozy enough. Several rooms in which to sit. It was next to an older motel, with plenty of parking.Overall 8/10 - if we ever come that way again, the do breakfast all day and I’m definitely doing that too. I highly recommend the Big Cup Eatery when in Glen Rose, Texas!“
“Unfortunately, they were out of carnitas, so I panic switched to a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was really delicious and massive. Tons of cheese, tasty chicken and it even came with crema and guacamole for a cheap price. I will definitely be back to try more stuff!“
“What isn't amazing from here, nothing so far. I just moved back here and they've kept me alive and thriving. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are unbelievable! I can't thank them enough for reopening and refreshing the menu. Salads are fresh and everything, I mean everything, is so delicious. Made to order so grab some of their spectacular salsa to nibble on while you wait, it's always worth it. They have never let me down.“
