“We called in an order and it was ready in 10 min. on a Sat evening. Pleasant staff and very good BBQ Ribs. We especially liked the black pepper bark on the ribs and the sauce was really good. Potato salad, cole slaw and onion rings were excellent. BIG ribs lots of tender meat. Really Hammond's Good Job. Older folks like us appreciate good food at a reasonable cost. “We arrived on Monday morning around 11:45! There were four adults and two dogs in our group and we were warmly welcomed and took a table in the courtyard. The friendly staff brought water bowls for the dogs! Our food was excellent and the service perfect. As we were departing, the throngs of spring break crowds were descending on the restaurant. Sleepy little downtown Glen Rose was no longer sleepy on this day! Looking forward to a return visit to the green pickle!“

“So this cafe is the overlook cafe of Fossil Rim! So enjoyable, you will eat good food and it was fresh food too, hardly a wait for the food as they cook it FRESH! You can see the giraffes and deer while you wait for food and while you eat. So many children enjoy this area it's amazing. We will be back time and time again.
