“We stop at The Daily Special Cafe every time we come to Alvarado—which is often. Prices are reasonable. The Daily Special is popular with locals. It’s the food. Check out our photos to see what I mean. We always order breakfast (served all day). Based on how delicious their breakfast is, I feel confident the rest of the menu is prepared just as well. The decorations are from the “down home” design school. Lots of license plates, metal chickens, and coffee mugs. The Daily Special is in a strip center next door to Brookshire Brothers supermarket. Alvarado is conveniently located at the intersection of Interstate 35W and Hwy 67 about halfway between Fort Worth and Waco. Worth your time and money.“

“What a lovely winery! Super friendly staff (always such a plus right up front)! The wines followed up in the same vein…delicious. We are dry wine drinkers and those are what we sampled. Not disappointed.The grounds were expansive with loads of seating options: inside, covered outside and under the trees outside. AND pet friendly!! “This has got to be one of the friendliest Papa Murphy's stores I've ever been to. They are always prompt with their service. They take care to make sure your pizza is prepared exactly the way you ordered it. I only had one problem due to a mixup in the store hours between their online app and the actual location. They took the time to call me and let me know that they would wait until I arrived even though the store had already closed. Now that is real service!Parking: Drive-thru window is available.“

I LOVE Soup and their menu pulled me in.I asked around, and they have FANS of their Broccoli Cheese Soup. I HADto check it out ! “Lovely place to eat. The food was off the hook good. I have no bad things to say. Everyone was friendly and genuinely seemed to be glad you were there, from the door person, to the kitchen staff (they waved to me from the Streamline Bus that served as the kitchen) to the bar tender. It was a very busy night even by weekend standards albeit it was a Wednesday. I loved the place. The decor was very nice with vintage guitars on the wall. “My only reservation for never stopping in here was the darn lines. My Goodnes on friendship nights it seems like the line goes all the way to centennial. Okay so not quite that far but man it gets long So we just finished my boyfriend officiating the most beautiful wedding down the road. We were hungry and on a Saturdays night at 730ish pm the parking lot seemed empty. So we were hesitant for no good reason, over dressed (we just left a wedding) we parked and went in. The lights were very dim. Very very low. It was nice for me as I’m dealing with a corneal ulcer and bright lights silently but painfully kill me. We were seated right away in the far back and since we were hungry to the next level we each picked the first thing on the menu that sounded like we love it and orders that. He chose the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I choose the chickenParmigiana. This included spaghetti too. A couple moments later we were each served a big hot fluggyDeliciousssssss roll. Boy could I have eaten my weight in those. But nonetheless I was given just one. Why? Wasn’t offered more but I also didn’t ask for more. Maybe because gluten’s like me willl just eat me eat them tillThey realize they have lost all their profits for the day. When the food arrived, I will say for as empty as it was maybe 10Customers , 5 totalTables out of over 100 taken, food took I’d say no less than 25 minutes. But when it arrived the taste of everything was far beyond what we were expecting. We occasionally go to a different Italian restaurant a couple miles away on 1187 rendon crowley rd and this place put them to shame in every way except speed of service. I guess you get less than this level of greatness when you get it in under ten minutes but when you till you’re pretty sure your insides are eating each other you get food thst tasted straight outta Italy. I’ve never been to Italy but I’d imagine the cooks thst served me haveThe Alfredo is my next plate. That sauce was to die for and I mean after eating part of mine and part of his too I felt like I was dying in a food coma. The portions were gigantic too. We he and I could probably ask for one more if the amazing rolls next time and share that Alfredo plate no doubt. He took some leftovers I took some of his and mine. And mine could have and did feed three more servings once home and we only paid under $30. That alone is worth clapping for these days. Goodnes. Thanks yall“

“Showed up for the live music, will be back due to the southern hospitality. I had an amazing time here. Everyone was very friendly from the time I walked in. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and two drinks while at the bar in back. The bartender I met there goes down as a all time favorite. He was friendly, lively and kept my drinks behind the bar when I went to the bathroom. Then Kim took my picture with the artist I came to see and invited me back for lunch sometime. Small hometown bar feel with the nicest people. I can't wait to visit again.“

“I came in around lunch time and it wasn’t crowded but there was a steady stream of customers before and after I entered. I ordered curry goat with rice and peas and cabbage, along with a beef patty and sorrel. The food was delicious! The meat was tender and perfectly spicy, the rice and peas could’ve had more beans but it tasted great as it was so I can’t complain. The beef patty was flaky and had a little kick to it and the sorrel was TOP TIER. I’ll definitely be back to try the oxtails next.“

“We had a graduation dinner at Antonio’s tonight with about 30 guests. Our waitress was Diamond. She was the sweetest, she went above and beyond the entire night. Everyone’s orders were correct. Our food came quick and tasted amazing. We never even had to ask for refills! I know our crowd was a little overwhelming(maybe a lot) but Diamond wasn’t phased at all. I truly hope she felt compensated for her time and efforts fairly. She was one of the best servers we have had anywhere, in a very long time. Big thanks to Diamond and the rest of the Antonio’s staff for making my daughter’s night memorable!“

“They do catering! We actually decided to have them cater our wedding, and let me tell you it was a hit! So many of our guests complemented on how good the BBQ was and how much they enjoyed it.They provide so much for the catering including sides and drinks, cutlery, plates. It really was helpful to have so many options and know that our guests would have a variety of food and drink options from them alone. In addition they did such a good job on serving the food in a quick manner and while it was hot! So if you have an event and are considering BBQ catered, I would highly recommend trying them out!“

“Burleson is my hometown. I’ve lived here most of my life. And in a town full of chain restaurants, I love finding a new family owned place that we can add to our regular list! (It’s even more special when one from my childhood is saved!)Both times I’ve visited the pizza was delicious. I wouldn’t call the crust “thin” and I normally like a good thin pizza so that wouldn’t be a bad thing to me. This crust is substantial but in no way soggy - there’s a little crisp to it because the bottom was cooked just the way I like it. Like the perfect mix of what I like about thin and thicker crusts. I’m a vegetarian and love green olives, I am so thankful they have them, because some pizza places only have black olives now. And there was the perfect amount on my pizza!Service is always friendly and when my family of 8 came on a Friday night, it was packed but they got us in quicker than I expected, keeping us informed the entire time. To top it off, the decor feels reminiscent of my younger days when the pizza place was a good place to hang out with friends and family.Not to mention, bathroom was spotless !Thank you !!!“

“I have eaten there at that particular restaurant and location twice…the first time on March 7, 2019 and took my friend who is now currently my fiancé and his cousin to dinner there in celebration of his 62nd birthday! The second time was in May 2021 and the food was still good as ever!Anyway, the food is fantastic and what’s good is that you can get up and go for seconds, thirds, fourths, and so forth! They even have free refills on their beverages which is awesome!The prices are reasonable and I believe it cost at least, $8-$10 per plate!
