“We were looking for something that wasn’t a chain but home style food. Madea’s fit that to a T. The portions are huge. I had braised beef tips on rice with green beans, mashed potatoes and greens. The flavor was amazing. I also had lemon cake for dessert. I’m a hearty eater and when we were done you couldn’t tell I had eaten much. My wife has chicken spaghetti and our daughter had 1/4 chicken. The chicken in both was so tender and juicy. The black eyes peas and green beans had ham in them. I can’t give this place a high enough review. We will go back anytime we’re in the Fort Worth area.“

“My wife and I had a truly amazing dining experience for our anniversary.To start, the complimentary bread was flaky and crunchy on the outside and so soft and warm on the inside. We ordered cocktails, my wife a lemon martini (that I don't remember the name of) and I a glass of wine. Both were delicious.I ordered the beef bourguignon. My wife ordered the filet. We also ordered the heirloom carrots to share. The bourguignon was both rich and tender. My wife's filet was so tender, she didn't need a knife to cut it. It was perfectly cooked and served with a wonderful wine sauce. But, the highlight (so far...my god, the dessert) of the meal were the heirloom carrots. They were cooked in a lavender oil bath and were firm and tasted heavenly. You could taste the sweetness of the carrot mixed with the savoriness of the bath in addition to the floral aromatics.Finally, we order the dessert...the TUILE AUX MÛRES. It was warm berries atop a creamy custard in turn on top of a delicious cake. All of this was surrounded by a crisp shell of goodness.I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. You will absolutely enjoy this restaurant.“

“I can’t say enough good things about this place. We celebrated a friends birthday in their private dining area. The service from Alexis and Juan were beyond my expectations. The food was amazing: fried nopales, chorizo, guacamole, filet, Chile relleno, mole enchiladas, and so much more. Oh! And the drinks… the amazing crafted cocktails. 10/10 for this place. “We had the best experience this weekend at Bonnell’s. Long story short we don’t go out to eat because my son has a lot of food allergies and it’s not easy to accommodate them. However it was his 13th birthday so we really wanted to celebrate. The chef worked with me prior to coming in and made sure my kiddo was able to have a wonderful and safe meal to celebrate a huge milestone. All of the staff were sweet and thoughtful as well. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is warm. I’m happy to forever brag on this restaurant!“

“It's fire! The food is amazing. I assumed the food would just taste like what I've had before. Nopeee. The catfish taste like nothing I've had before, the red beans and rice is amazing. I am legit eating some for breakfast.Parking: Lots of open spots around both sides of the restaurant. Sidewalk is wheelchair accessible.Kid-friendliness: They have a virgin Daiquiri that my kids loved! I don't drink so it was a great surprise to find they had a drink I could have.“

“Recently went on a tour here and I cannot say enough good things about it. It's a very detailed tour that can become even more so if you have Corey as your guide. Our group asked a ton of very nitty gritty questions and Corey had fantastic answers for them all. His expertise and insight added an extra dimension to a whiskey tour that I have not yet seen on other tours. I don't know if you can request tour guides, but if you can, get Corey.This place also has a bunch of old fashioned options. I tried all of them and they were all fantastic. Highly recommend.The gift shop also has the absolute best caps.“

“My 11yr old wanted a “good burger” so we googled “best burger Ft Worth and this was the second (but closest to our house) listed. He ordered the Big Kat and ate 98% of it! “Excellent food! The ranch house burger and the bodacious burger are both amazing! they can split them if you're with someone and want to try more than 1. The chilli cheese fries surprise were huge and delicious! The chips and queso was fresh it paired nicely with the Texas caviar paired nicely. The goat chips were unique and. We went as a large group and got seated right away. The service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place! It's absolutely crave worthy.

“Met a friend here for lunch. Had to ask to be moved to a different table because there was FREEZING cold air blowing hard on our table. Our server was fine, but I had the smoked chicken salad- I asked if there were any onions and she said no. The salad was covered in so many onions I could not pick them all out, this really ruined my lunch.“
