“Every time I go, I find a 'new' favorite. Quesabirria plate is my favorite this week. The food's great, you won't be disappointed and is so pretty inside, like going into a museum of Mexican art. The environment is so nice and people who work there, very friendly.“

“We were looking to try something new. La Mesa was pretty good. Lindsey is a great waitress and offered great recommendations. The food style reminded me a lot of Frijoles, but that's fine. The menu was smaller, but they offered all the staples. We split the enchilada trio with borracho beans. The beef enchilada in green sauce was our favorite. The atmosphere/dining experience was great. Love how spacious and comfortable everything is. 8 out of 10 Definitely will consider coming out here again next time we are in Joshua.“

“Sadly even with the right training sometimes things are not done right as I've learned over the years, many employees, management and more will turn the blind eye to things even when trust is broken you want the best for a restaurant and more, FasTaco has always been a great place for not only eating but enjoying being with one another and working, visiting has been a downside from customers views, and missing the perfect tostada's and picture perfect nachos Albert and Bob would always coach about , the training needs to return and coaching that they have done and remembered through out the years hopefully will return and get better.“

“After driving by this place numerous times, my wife and I decided to finally get some food here. I had the enchiladas and she had California burrito. Let me just say that this California burrito rivals anything you will find in DFW. Including Bad Ass Burritos in Saginaw. The enchiladas were average to be honest. So we're the tamales but really sets this food off is the salsa bar. All the sauces are made in house and above average. The service was great. Friendly and we got our food fast. I recommend getting the food to go. The inside was warm but not unbearable. There isn't much of a dining room either. Pretty simple lay out. All in all not bad. Better then average but still not the best of the best. I recommend this lace for a fast place to grab some good Mexican food on the go.“

“Fresh flour tortillas straight off the comal as they should be with great taste and size. Carne guisada was delicious and reminded me of home. Refried beans seasoned just right, rice was delightful. Got some to go for family who also loved the food. Drove here because of the flour tortillas and staying for the whole package. Definitely coming back.“

“This Taco spot is inside of a gas station, so I initially wasn't thinking much about it, I ordered 2 Asada and 1 Pastor and they made it all up within 5 minutes. The salsa came in little cups, a green creamy salsa and a creamy smooth orange spicy salsa - the spice surprised me, make sure to not drown your tacos in them or you might cry - The asada to me was solid, a bit chewy but tasted good; whereas, the pastor was incredible, it was savory and with the perfect hint of sweetness to it and it being paired with the spicy salsa was amazing. Prices were good too.“

“the food is great but I don't understand why when we sit in the bar area they never bring napkins or water. A good server should always greet you with water prior to ordering anything. at the very least bring the water with the other drinks ordered and then when you bring chips and salsa also bring napkins. water and napkins is something people should never have to ask for at a restaurant“

“We went on Wednesday 1/14/26. There was 4 of us, we each had the fajitas for 2, we were a little nervous when we went in because we were the only ones there. As we were leaving it was filling up! Let me tell ya, that was the best fajitas that we’ve had in a long time, tender beef, good size shrimp and vegetables cooked perfect, even with a little squash. Service was great also. I’ve been in restaurant all my life, know what to look for! This place I would give a 10.“

We had a fantastic experience at Barrera's! The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made some of the best margaritas and carajillos we've had in a long time. Even during a busy shift, service was quick and professional, and they made everyone at the bar feel welcome. Great drinks, great attitude, and excellent customer service. We'll definitely be back for the drinks and the outstanding hospitality!“
