“The sandwich made by some girl with weird eyes and kind of blonde hair (I think Shall Be) was the best thing I’ve had in a while. That sandwich literally changed my life. I stopped cussing, stopped drinking alcohol and started being more responsible at work. SOMEONE GIVE HER A DOLLAR RAISE!

Kid-friendliness: My child was misbehaving and no one said anything about it . I had the best time ever!

“I drove 28 miles from my house in Brownsville to Lara’s Bakery in Harlingen to buy sweet bread for my girlfriend who is under the weather. She loves their sweet bread. I arrived 10 minutes before Lara’s Bakery opened. There was a line of people waiting outside. This is how good tasting sweet bread is sold here. Two ladies attending the customers are fast and friendly. Majority of customers were taking boxes of sweet bread plus a couple of bags..”

“It was a great evening. We had never been to Dos Olivos before, but it had always been on our list to try. The vibe is completely different from what you see through the windows—it always looked more like a market than a restaurant from the outside. I happened to see the link on Facebook for the Valentine's Day dinner and decided it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. We had always assumed it was just wine and charcuterie trays, but it turned out to be so much more. We will definitely be going back for another date night or a light dinner.”
