“Family of 4 here. 2 toddlers. The staff here made me feel like I was back at home with my familia. They catered to my kids, let them try horchata like I did when I was their age. The shredded brisket tacos tasted like the brisket was smoked that morning. Rice and beans were top tier for the girls and the breakfast egg cheese and potato plate was a solid addition for the wife. We aren’t typically out this way because we live in Denton but I will tell you, if it’s around lunch time or happy hour and we are, we will stop here.

“From “Nope” to “Nice!” — They Really Turned This Place Around
Two years ago, my wife and I walked into this place, got hit with a sewer smell straight to the soul, turned right back around, and wrote it off forever. It was a hard nope from both of us.
But credit where it’s due — we came back a few weeks ago, and WOW… completely different experience.
The smell? Gone.
The vibe? Warm and actually welcoming.
The service? Attentive, friendly, and miles better than before.
The food? Surprisingly solid — way better than what we remembered.
It’s clear they put in real work to fix things: cleaner space, better atmosphere, and a team that actually seems happy to be there. It went from “walk in and immediately walk out” to “sit down, relax, and enjoy lunch.”
I respect a business that listens, improves, and shows it.

“Love the atmosphere, love the food, love the service. Salsa Tex is just a fast paced local Tex Mex Restaurant but the food is very good. The margaritas are excellent as well. There are waits to get a table after 6:00 but typically less than 20-30 minutes.“

“Probably the most picturesque place to eat tacos in North Texas.Excellent fusion style food; my personal favorite are the Thai BBQ fajitas which arrive sizzling on a cast iron griddle in a waft of aromatic smoke. Just the right side of spicy accompanied by delicious melt in your mouth home made steaming fresh tortillas.The best seats are overlooking the lake with the mini volcano and animatronic shark!!!!“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Torchys in Frisco, Hollyhock location and I must say, the service and hospitality exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the bartender Eric who was very attentive and friendly. Aside from the impeccable service and hospitality, the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this Torchys location. You wont be disappointed!“

“I’m from Miami, land of Cuban Coffee, coladas, and cafe con leche. This place has a whole menu just for coffee and I took a risk. I never drink Starbucks… but Old West is hands and hands above them. We were in Denton for a week visiting family and I had the Crème Brûlée coffee 4X….. first was at out first breakfast, and the rest were pick up orders! It’s SO DELICIOUS! Then, the place is so cozy, but best of all is the food! Generous portions, their hash brown casserole was AMAZING… my kids ate there like they had been starving lol…. I’m def thinking of them back here in Miami!“

“I recently visited the Fuzzy's Taco Shop on Industrial Street in Denton and was absolutely blown away—not just by the consistently great food, but by the incredible management team that makes this location truly special. This is easily one of the friendliest restaurants in Denton!
The service here elevates the entire dining experience, and the credit goes directly to Ray (General Manager) and Don (Assistant Manager). These two are the definition of hospitality. From the moment you walk in, they are prompt to greet guests with incredibly welcoming and friendly smiles. Their commitment to great customer service is apparent in every interaction—they make you feel like a valued regular, whether it's your first time or your fiftieth.
A huge shout-out also goes to Taylor (Bar Manager). She runs a fantastic bar, ensuring drinks are mixed perfectly and service is efficient, all while maintaining that chill, fun Fuzzy's vibe.
Between the legendary Baja Tacos, ice-cold FuzzyRitas, and the warm, high-level service provided by Ray, Don, and Taylor, this Fuzzy's location is a must-visit. You can tell they have fostered a fantastic culture for their team, and it shows! Keep up the amazing work!“
