“The food is so good, very authentic and love that everything is made fresh, including the corn and flour tortillas. Their salsa comes in mild or spicy and is served warm. The staff makes you feel right at home.“

“Not our normal go to for Mexican food, but I like to try different places. My wife got a new job, so while the kids were at school, we had a little celebration lunch. Service was a little slow for only a few others in there, I had to flag our waitress to order and again to get our check, but overall not bad, food came out really fast. My wife had cheese enchilada with rice and beans. I had the (3) tacos lunch with two hard and one soft taco. Chips and dip were pretty good, red salsa would be better if it was warm. Both are meals were very good, fresh and delicious and we had a small take-out left over. Located less than a 1/2 mile off I-290 beside the Krogers, pretty easy access for travelers.“

“We recently visited the newly opened Carmelita’s Kitchen in Cypress, and it quickly became a favorite! From the moment we stepped onto the cozy patio, we loved the inviting and charming atmosphere. Inside, the décor is well thought out, creating a warm and welcoming vibe.

Our server, Ana, was incredibly attentive and polite throughout the meal. We started with coffee and a delicious tray of shrimp taquitos — a perfect appetizer. The brunch menu is impressive, and we decided to try the chilaquiles and Baja tacos. Both dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely flavorful. Each bite was a treat — well-prepared without being overdone.

For those who enjoy spicy flavors, their salsas pack a great kick! We can’t wait to return and try more dishes and the cocktails. We highly recommend our Cypress neighbors to check out this little gem — it’s definitely worth a visit!“

“My wife and I ate there this afternoon and the food was excellent, service was prompt and attentive. It is a great family atmosphere with a variety of music playing with a colorful atmosphere. I mentioned to the Manager on the way out that the only thing missing was real Salt and Pepper Shakers. Fast food places use the little packets but a nice place like Rudy’s should IMHO have the real thing. We will come again and have a nice meal and a drink and will look forward to using their new Salt & Pepper Shakers!“

“Since im a fan of taco trucks, I tried this one recently. The tacos were definitely on the much smaller side for the price but meat was delicious. I also got their hot sauces and spicy onions. I also ordered the chicken torta which I was not a fan of. Not sure but maybe it was the creamy cheese it in. Bread was good but overall it was very average.
They have nice picnic benches in a covered area which was great. Service was friendly and the lady taking orders understood English very well.
The food truck is in a parking lot so parking is mostly not an issue.“

“We came here and ordered quite a bit of food found it overall pretty stellar Taqueria. I found the case of videos to be silently dry for what I wanted, and I’ve had other locations. These street tacos were delicious. The burritos were full and well made and well roll the garlic shrimp was delicious down the staff to be friendly found a place to be clean maybe a little dated in it’s appearance but Definitely a good location and will probably be back to try some more tacos.

“Best new restaurant in Cypress... Ta' Bueno Mexican Kitchen is fantastic and legit! (menu pics included at the end). Three of us chose dishes from the Street Foods section of the menu. I went with the Las Quekas - Lightly toasted blue corn tortillas filled with al pastor pork meat and cheese. Served with a side of charro beans, grilled onions, pico de gallo and salsa. We were off to a great start, it was all really good, even the charro beans were awesome. My son went with the Tacos de Birria - Tough cuts of beef meat are cooked until tender and juicy with flavorful chilies and Mexican spices. Served with pico de gallo on a lightly toasted corn tortillas and cheese, side of consomme, grilled onions and salsa. Pretty stellar stuff! My friend chose Pambazo - Pambazo is a Mexican dish or antojito made with pambazo bread dipped and fried in a red guajillo pepper sauce and filled with papas con chorizo, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and queso fresco. I had a bite and loved it as much as she did. My other friend had the Shrimp Tacos - 2 soft hand-made corn tortillas filled with grilled shrimp, shredded cabbage and chipotle creamy sauce. Served with black beans. We all agreed that this place is quite wonderful! We also had a Michelada with Modelo Especial and I had a house frozen margarita (the margarita are wine based or mpact) but still pretty good. Dessert, was some of the best flan I had in a long time. Perfect texture and flavor. We all definitely want to go back and try more, the flavor profiles are phenomenal here. Excellent warm sala made with fresh tomatoes. “Food is good but you’re going to pay a premium. $12 for 5 small tacos is not your usual food truck prices. However they’re really good.

It’s close to home so when I’m lazy and want some good food I come here.

I’ve tried pretty much all of their menu and you can’t really go wrong with anything.

My favorite item is the Gordita. They let the cheese melt inside with the meat and not everyone does that. It makes it a 10/10.

They do sell out of some items so you might not find what you’re looking for at certain times.

The salsas are delicious and I always ask for extra because I put about one whole container per taco.“

“One of my favorite regular spots for traditional Tex-Mex fare. Consistently tasty & fresh for a reasonable price. Their warm salsa is the best I have ever had. “This is not our first trip to Gringo’s but it was the best trip yet. We ordered drinks at the bar to wait for our table. We get in line through the Tex-Mex insider app and it saves us time from having to wait. We wanted an outside table as it was gorgeous outside as fall has finally come to Texas. We were seated and Anthony was our server. He was attentive, personable and friendly. He was great about checking on us every few minutes. We ordered the shrimp empanadas as an appetizer. They were as delicious as usual. We were not in a hurry and we never felt rushed. We were content enjoying college football on the numerous screens around the bar. We ordered beef skirt fajitas and they did not disappoint. We will definitely be back and will request Anthony if he is available.“

One would think that would be an easy task to complete, however until El Rincon joined the neighborhood, we were always on the hunt for better. El Rincon’s tortillas are soft and chewy, the perfect vessel for my egg, bean and cheese that nobody else can ever get “just right.” Not to mention, the green salsa is a great addition to anything! “I’ve visited this place numerous times. This is my first review of them I believe. My waitress was great. She checked on me frequently but not too much. She was professional and polite. The menu has changed quite a bit but I like it. It’s updated with more options but it’s not overwhelming. I got the Enchi plate (my apologies for the incorrect spelling) and a tostada. For my drink I had water and a peach margarita. Everything was good including the chips & salsa. They have new salsa bowls and they are so cute.
