El Fenix is a neighborhood favorite since 2006, known for its friendly staff and good food. Some changes in the chips and chili con carne sauce have been noted. While some find the service and cleanliness lacking, others praise the excellent service provided by waiter Franklin. The satake with beans, rice, guacamole, and cream is a highlight, as well as the hot and steaming steak with onion and sweet chili. The dessert, a perfectly proportioned churro, is a delightful conclusion to the meal.
