About La Casita Coffee

La Casita Coffee is a popular cafe located inside a bookshop, offering a wide variety of snacks and meals. The menu includes pastries like the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cruffin, pesto Parmesan croissants, ham and cheese croissants, and Persian love cake. Customers often praise the high quality of the food, with some noting that the baked goods can sometimes be a day old without discounts. The cafe's friendly service is appreciated, though staff can be soft spoken, making it hard to hear over the music. The ambiance is loved, especially since it is inside a bookshop, creating a cozy atmosphere. The cafe is often crowded, but it is usually possible to find a table without waiting, especially in the mornings. Popular dishes like the chilaquiles with mojo pork have received positive comments for their flavor and texture, even if they are not traditional Mexican chilaquiles. The banana pancakes are enjoyed but considered too rich by some, while others try beverages like café de olla, which may vary in strength and flavor. Overall, La Casita Coffee offers a pleasant experience with good food and friendly service, making it a favorite spot for many visitors.

It was a delight to find a cappuccino with such well proportioned and balanced flavor, a relief from the huge milky offerings so many other places serve. We shared a guava and strawberry filled pop tart, which involved a perfect delicious tender flaky pastry wrapped around a both slightly sweet and tart filling. Our server,...read full review
The atmosphere was nice and family friendly, wait staff was friendly and attentive. The only issue was deciding what to order. We had the Chilaquiles, Banana Praline Pancakes and the Cubano. We only finished half of the first 2 and Cubano will be dinner. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Awesome addition to downtown Rowlett. excellent pastries (huge variety) and breads. Fabulous coffee with house made syrups. They offer some unique coffee creations. I've enjoyed the Hot Turkish Coffee with cardamom syrup, the Mexican coffee with cinnamon and the iced horchata coffee. Great local vibe. Limited indoor seating but plentiful outdoor seating so I look forward to enjoying more coffee al fresco now that spring is here. Don't leave without a loaf of their sourdough bread....read full review
