“Marais was wonderful! My CuzzoBestieSisteriend was in town from California. I wanted to try a new spot and have some bestie time! I selected the perfect spot!! MARAIS!!! Walking up to the venue, jazz music was playing. This put me in my happy zone immediately!! It set the mood right out the gate. We were seated with no wait. We made a reservation. Nick was our server. He was very personable. Top notch table maintenance and follow-up! Now, let's talk about the delicious food! We had the $40 brunch buffet. We felt it was as worth it! I tried the following: gumbo, bacon, sausage, hash potatoes, chicken & waffles, fried fish, greens, smoked salmon, boiled shrimp, grits..,,whewwww! I didn't get to enjoy the omelet station or the carving station. More reason to return...AND WE WILL! We washed it down with mimosas with OJ and PJ! Tasty tasty. We couldn't believe a full bottle of was only $10. I was expecting a champagne split not bottle! There is a bar area right off of the buffet lines. The bar has swings!! Like “when you were a kid” swings!! Also, there is patio seating too! Live jazz music was playing the entire time we were there! Again, another reason to return!! Great experience all the way around! “I just went yesterday for my first time. I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend their food to anyone! It’s fresh & just about as authentic as you can get. “I’m not the one to leave comments but I had to for this experience. Hands DOWN the BEST FOOD AND SERVICE I have every had . I drove by this place for years and never knew that I was missing out on ALOT . I was missing the down home Louisiana cooking and the friendliest of the staff .Including the owner . It reminded me of home . If you need a reason to go this is it . You will not be disappointed. My stomach and soul was full !!!!”

“First time. Got enchiladas. We’re out of chile carne sauce, wasn’t offered chips/salsa, but another table had, so I asked. Said they were saving them, it was the last of them? But she did get me some after I asked. Super friendly, but not organized . I’d asked for queso but she didn’t hear that. So I didn’t get once meal came, I said never mind on queso. Sign on door said hiring, so I figured she was new. I’d asked about some bakery items, she didn’t know. Said they had a new baker? Anyways. I live close. I liked what I ate. I will go back”

“This place is amazing!! I got the 3 dozen fried shrimp and fries and they were delicious!! They didn't taste like chlorine and they were served fresh and hot. The fries were not salty (just how I like it). The lady helping me at the counter was so nice and friendly. I think this is my favorite seafood place now. I can't wait to go back!”

“We were randomly craving bbq and AJs came up on our search bar. I am glad it did. Good sausage, boudin, and the sides were great! Brisket was a bit on the dry side for me but I would still go back for more”

“Wonderful little restaurant in the Dickinson area! My husband and I shared the hunan shrimp and sesame chicken lunch special which came with the best wonton soup. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the right temperature. My 2 year old daughter loved the sesame chicken and egg rolls. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out quick! This has become a favorite regular spot for us and we’re going to miss it when we move out of state next month!”

“Had it for the first time today and OMG!!!!! The smothered pork steak was perfect!! It was so tender, not dry at all and flavor was amazing. We ordered the green beans and the cabbage and I loved them both. This was a 10/10 perfect meal!!”

“This is a great bar with the best bartenders & manager ever. Bring your own bottle, they sell setups. They have wine and their beer is some of the coldest you'll have. Super friendly patrons are in here all the time.”

“A small shop. Avocado is good taste. The brown sugar bobba was too swet even with 50% sugar. A clean rest room and restaurant.

“I have been eating here for so many years. The Best Catfish in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. I have since moved away from Dickinson, but I come to see Ms. Lily once a month and still get the "All You Can Eat Catfish." A MUST when in the area or traveling to Galveston. 5 stars all the way...they treat you like family.”

“This is a restaurant that bought an old shut down fast food restaurant (Burger King or McDonald’s). One of those family owned restaurants where you know the food is gonna hit. It has a lot of charms about it.

There were 3 of us and we got 2 combos (fish and shrimp combo) and it was enough to fill all of us up. The taste was great and the fried rice was really good too.

The server was very polite and she brought out all the sauces and things we needed.”

“We order and eat here at least once a week. My sons favorite plate is here. Tonight I got charro beans and not refried and they forgot his cups. Anyone have picky kids by any chance? I called and the girl who answers, I asked to pick up the beans and chips tomorrow. Instead of taking care of these small little details she started telling me what I did wrong, I hung up. Do better business with your loyal customers. If it was me I wouldn’t mind but my kid literally has to have it this way to even enjoy his food.”
