“Went in last minute 2/14 before closing we bought pan dulce and aguas frescas. pan dulce was the best very good and soft. I had been in previously for bread and last night was 10×s better. horchata was a bit too sweet but the cucumber and watermelon one were delicious 😋 definitely coming back for bread again and need to try their hot foods. bread was 10/10“

“I dropped my debit card in the parking lot earlier today, the staff found it, and turned it into the customer service desk. I was away for several hours before realizing and it was a blessings to have it safe in the care of the Kroger staff. I appreciate the small blessings on an otherwise tough day!“

“I love H‑E‑B but there’s one thing that gets me frustrated every time I shop is the baggers put raw meet in with cooked prepackaged food and veggies. Where is the common sense? It pains me to call them out on it every time I see them do this. Please for the love of God and all that is holy, train your partners.“

“This is a very outstanding Kolache place on this side of town, the kolaches are absolutely delicious and can serve as a perfect meal for a busy weekday and sometimes even a relaxed weekend. The atmosphere is also very nice given that the restaurant is usually clean and the staff is very courteous and customer service orienting. The only draw back is that they a close a little too soon which usually results in those good kolaches running out due to the high demand. Overall, this is a fine Kolache establishment, it has my complete endorsement and I will definitely be coming back here again.“

“I was looking for a unique dessert with nuts for my Dad’s birthday and saw on their menu they had a Dubai Pistachio Cake. I had no clue what that was, but it had pistachio so I figured I would try it. I was blown away by just how incredible, unique, and delicious this cake was! “As my wife said, “Rise to Rescue”!! We had a late in the season family Christmas gathering and I had been tasked with the cookie decorating contest. I thought, “how hard could it be? Just go to YT and learn how to make icing, right?” Wrong. Outside of the deception on food network and kids baking championships, I knew nothing about cookies, icing or ‘piping’ other than throwing out those words occasionally-“hold on y’all let me throw these in the chiller real quick!” In normal male fashion, I called Rise Cupcakes the day before the event and the girl on the other end suggested the cookie decorating kit: 8 shortbread cookies-cut into holiday themes, 4 tubes of icing, and sprinkles. It was $28 at the time of this posting. I felt like a fool. I had budgeted a significant amount more money for this task than thirty dollars 🤦‍♂️. I clearly have no knowledge about the cost of these things OR this cookie kit is just an outstanding deal! They normally ask for a 3 day notice but they were very kind in working out the “rush” job with me. Went the next day, picked up the kit and that evening, kids AND adults got to decorating! Rise deserves 5 stars from me because 1) always super friendly and customer first attitudes 2) great selection of baked goods. I must confess, I’ve been going to rise since I moved back to the area almost 10 years ago. We have used them for big events (300+ cookie orders, their custom cakes, custom cookie orders, all the holidays and ofc a frequent flyer of the shop. Shame on me for just now writing a review. 3) Selection. It’s a bakery…if you want it fresh, you need to get there early in the week for cookies, cupcake selection is little bit stronger. But I’m a cookie guy, personally. 4) Design. They have an outstanding design artist(s) working there. The cutest artwork on themed cookies, for the holidays, seasons, and hometown teams. Last and certainly not least 5) Taste. If I had to pick my favorite cookie…idk…I love their chocolate chip, creme brulee cookie, buttercream pumpkin cookie, the shortbread is very good just by itself-add icing and it’s a very sweet treat! Don’t make me decide!!! 🙈. I love their cinnamon rolls-but if you want that, you have to special order. I think since learning they made them I’ve only seen them on the counter twice. Brownies, blondies, lemon bars, everything in between. The cakes are very special. You can choose between one and two tiers, they decorate with the fondant just like you see on cake boss; the taste is amazing. The texture and consistency of moist to dry and flavor is like my kids at school say, “a chef’s kiss” I left the long review with the different parts because nobody is perfect, and not any one business is going to 5 stars, 100% all the time every day. But Rise is so strong in all of those categories that when one thing might be a little off, the other areas make up for it. If for some reason you aren’t satisfied, go back and try something else. Like I said, I’m not a cupcake guy. But I love cookies. And I’m grateful to Rise for being local, small business, home grown, and absolutely delectable when it comes to treats. They will always be a favorite in our family.“

“My son is a huge Great American Cookie Co. fan and was determined to have one for his groom’s cake at his wedding. I was hesitant at first because I really wanted him to have something that resembled more of a tiered cake. With the help of Lameka Hadnot and Monigua Murphy, at the Baybrookmall Mall store in Webster, my son and I both got what we wanted. Thank you two so much for helping to make my son’s wedding special! Y’all are the best. The cookie cake looked amazing and tasted even better.“

“Chris Crowe, Adam, Briana & Viktoryia provided excellent service. We place a pretty big order of a few dozen kolaches & rolls & they were perfect. The kolache was so soft, moist & full of sweet flavor. We had cream cheese, peach, lemon, cherry, apricot & apple. We also ordered a few cinnamon rolls & they were melt in your mouth good. Adam, Briana & Viktoryia were so sweet and quick to assure we had everything right, fresh & packed securely for travel as we were traveling about an hour. They were very interactive in talking with us about the Strawberry festival in town & about our days plans. Viktoryia took the time to tell me all about the other food she was packing for a catering event. Puff pastries stuffed with egg, meats & cheeses. They were coated with a egg glaze & cooked to a golden brown. They looked SO good & I will definitely be back to order them. 12/10 stars for this adorable, small town bakery.“

Parking: The small strip center has gas pumps taking up part of the lot, and there's parking for four businesses. So, there are not a lot of spaces, but I have always found a space.

Kid-friendliness: The store is quiet and small, but there's no kid zone.“

My original stance was that bananas corrupt anything they touch, however, the banana raisin muffins are out of this world! They are incredibly moist with amazing texture and flavor.The wonderful baker, Tessa, even comes up with new items every Friday.You will regret not stopping by!“

“Just happened to stop by this place on a whim on the way fishing at the Texas city dike. Some of the best doughnuts, and the selection on the bake goods is amazing. From sausage cheese kolaches to fresh croissants, boudin kolaches etc. I suggest you stop by on your way fishing, or if you're in the area. Super friendly service.....“

“Delicious fresh kolaches with so many filling options it is almost overwhelming. My favorite was the ham and Swiss but you can’t go wrong with the sausage filled one either. Their coffee leaves a lot to be desired but there is a coffee shop next door that we didn’t get a chance to try.“
