“One of the best gyros you'll find! Love coming here. Only been a handful of times (regretfully) but Gregory knows who I am when I walk in. He is always up there working when I go, which is respectable. They always got good vibes, and good food. Their hibiscus tea is insanely good as well. Don't sleep on this place.“

“Visited this spot today for the first time on our way to theatre in Clear Lake. Viewing from the outside, the place didn’t look too impressive but I’m so glad we went in anyway. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The house salads were fresh and the ingredients were perfection. We tried the Turkish coffee - so good. Abdulsalam waited on us - he was excellent. He offered to assist us with the Turkish coffee since he could tell this was our first experience with it. He took his time to explain how it was prepared - he was great. The fried cauliflower was wonderful. We shared the kababs - yummy! Overall, highly recommend this spot for Mediterranean flare - we will definitely return.“

“Best gyro I have had in the US. Thick meat right off grill. Wife said baba was best she has ever had. Falafel was great, Greek salad was surprisingly excellent. Spinach pie, pita, grape leaves, and fries were all very good. Highly recommend.“

“We tried this place to branch out from the ordinary. It was a good call! Food was great, had the Lebanese tea, which was light and refreshing. The gyro was great as well. My wife had the Petra sandwich. We also tried the kibbi appetizer, which was great!“

“This was our first time here. I was very impressed with how clean the whole place looks and very beautiful presentation and display of the food. It's a buffet, I realize, but I was expecting a bit more customer interaction. There was no one working except a young woman as you walk in and tell you to sit anywhere you like. The food was very delicious and very filling. It was not like your usual buffets that are messy. It had a lot of vegetables and hummus like food. There's not much on the meats side. It did have fried chicken legs, beef gyro meat, and broiled fish. The dessert bar was small but very delicious. I even loved the self-serve coffee bar. It should add a tea bar as well. Lots of space in side. It was a very quiet ambiance. We loved the themed music playing. We enjoyed it overall and we will surely come back.Vegetarian options: Lots of options.Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of space“

“I just discovered Cafe Petra and I am so happy with my experience. I am a great fan of Greek foods and Middle Eastern foods and at Petra Cafe, you can find a good combination of all this. The hostess, Dayra is absolutely awesome. She is very nice and very professional. It has been only one year that Cafe Petra has opened and I regret I did not find it before, I am happy to know that I won’t have to drive too far to get my favorite foods.Cafe Petra has the best homemade Hummus and the best Tzatziki I have ever tasted. Most of the foods at Petra are homemade and they are very healthy. I highly recommend to everybody who follows a Mediterranean diet or who just wants to eat healthy and delicious to go and give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. The foods are delicious, the service is fast and nice and the place is very clean.I will return soon to Cafe Petra.Vegetarian options: Hummus, tzatziki.“

“The food was good but it definitely wasn't amazing, definitely had better kabobs in Houston. I also asked for garlic sauce and got some kind of citrus salad dressing which is a little weird. Most Mediterranean places know what garlic sauce is and usually have it. I also ordered the lentil soup which was okay as well. Probably would give it 3 stars but service was really good so that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 3.“

“Place desperately needs a refresh and probably cleaning...but food was very good, just the same as YEARS ago when it was located on. El camino and George was in charge! Gyro meat was dry, but pita was nice and fresh and salad fresh and crisp...just really wish interior was nicer...“

“Omg it was so delicious that we plan on going back again.Me and my friend went there on a Saturday to pay some bills and also do something shopping and we were hungry so we decided to stop in at the great Greek Mediterranean grill and the food was so delicious . We tried the entrees to call the souvlaki plate and got an Australian Lamb with pilaf rice and my friend got the feta fries it was very delicious. The serving was enough to take leftovers.“

“My favorite restaurant in Houston. I came here the first time I visited, it was fantastic, and I've never stopped coming back - it's become my boyfriend and I's go-to date spot. The owner is very friendly & so is the server. I have never had a bad experience with this place. The dolmas and the kafta kabob plate are personal favorites of mine. I would recommend it both if you grew up eating Mediterranean food like I did or if you're broadly unfamiliar with it like my boyfriend was before we started coming here.“

“What a great discovery! Happened up on CAVA a few weeks ago at Baybrook, where the old Zoe's used to be (still mourning that departure, btw). CAVA has a similar Mediterranean vibe as Zoe's, but offers a much wider variety of healthy options. Really do love this place, and you should too. Great selection of salads and pitas, lots of choices and optional add-ons, great customer service, and friendly atmosphere.“

“Went on a Monday and tried shawarma for the first time. It was great! Definitely recommend the chicken shawarma. Forgot to take a picture of it because I was so hungry and ate it before remembering to take a pic. It looked small and I thought I should’ve bought two but one was more than enough.“

“Visited from Thailand with my sister, intending to enjoy some cocktails and order a few small snacks. However, the term 'small' seems misleading for Thais, as it's practically impossible. We ended up ordering steak and soup. We was amazed by the incredibly delicious taste of the food here. We loved it so much that what was supposed to be a light meal turned into a main course immediately. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK HERE AGAIN.“

“Definitely visit this place and have a surprise. Different menu, Greek, Pinoy Filipino, Mexican, Cuban and American cuisine, it's all good. Down it all with wine, beer or cider from DuoParking: Shares the parking at Duo Winery Beer and Cider“
