“It's been a awhile since I've been to churches chicken and service was one of those reasons besides always getting sick from there as well. Well our order didn't take long and the person helping was really courteous and did everything to his best to make sure we were served well and that we had everything. The food was alright not hot and fresh and I didn't get sick. The order taker what was the best part of this visit. And for that reason only will I visit again.“
“My son and I wanted to try the new Dave's Hot Chicken that recently opened on Trenton Rd. about a half mile before you get to the Expressway. This location is bigger than the South McAllen location, thus having more tables. The decor is about the same with a slight variation on the ceiling. This location definitely feels more spacious. We are already fans of Dave's and for different reasons. Besides the flavourful chicken, I like the cheese fries, and my son likes their pickles, and we always get extra Dave's sauce. I gotta be honest, I learned the hard way as to what level of heat to choose. I absolutely blistered my lips the second time I went to try the Hot level. I now order medium or mild, depending on how I feel. Today, I ordered medium heat, one slider, one tender, cheese fries, and a milkshake. My son ordered the same, but no cheese, but Xtra pickles. We both ordered vanilla shakes, and they offered us toppings. The choice was M& M's or Oreo's, I chose M&M's my son Oreo's. I wanted toppings on top, not in the entire milkshake. I kept digging for plain ice cream impossible way to many M&M's it was way to crunch to enjoy. I returned it, and they put the toppings on the side. We had a great time spending father and son time together at Dave's. The good food makes for a great time.“
“Nice little spot in San Juan, TX serving a variety of fresh burgers, fried seafood and fried chicken. The food is made to order so it is always fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and welcoming all the time. My go to is the 4 chicken tender plate with BBQ sauce.Parking: Very few parking spaces but you can park on the street if all the spaces are taken.“
“I liked the establishment, the food was delicious, there were many choices on the menu, the pricing was average, the service from waitresses was great and the drinks were cold there was just a couple of flys that wouldn't leave....fly traps are on window corners directly next to your face..I found that just a little odd but other than that all else was great.“
“The service here is amazing and so is the food! The food us best eaten when just coming out of the fryer, it's so good, you eat it when it's super hot!¡Recomiendo este lugar 100%! ¡La comida esta muy bien y el servicio también!“
“I used to like it very much here, but lately is just plain, I don't know if church's change their original recipe or this place makes the breading different but is not so good anymore, and prices went ridiculously up, not good enough for the price.“
“n United States history, the Gilded Age was an era extending roughly from 1877 to 1900, which was sandwiched between the Reconstruction era and the Progressive Era. It was a time of rapid economic growth, especially in the Northern and Western United States. As American wages grew much higher than those in Europe, especially for skilled workers, and industrialization demanded an ever-increasing unskilled labor force, the period saw an influx of millions of European immigrants.“
“First timers..Wow what great chicken, we have not found many places like this in our travels!! We got the 2 chicken special on Saturday. It was plenty for multiple meals for the 2 of us. Rice, beans, onions, jalapeño and tortillas came with the special for $25. They have 3 lanes and all had 3 cars in them when I got there. That tells you something!! Had a bit of a language barrier but they got a gal to come out and take my order.“
