So disappointed. They stop cooking an hour or more before closing time. They turn customers away telling them there’s nothing but cocktails and only yo take. Meaning they want to clean an hour before so they can leave and close doors right at 7. Just close at 5 then. Never ?? again Was a frequent customer

My only dislike is the salsa is to spicy to enjoy.
Heartburn every time . But its also my fault i know my body cant handle really spicy salsas anymore but i cant stop eating it 🤣

Based on the reviews, Ostionería Montes is a fantastic spot that brings an authentic Mexican mariscos place feel to El Paso. The atmosphere feels like a Juaritoz style restaurant, with basic tables and chairs adding to the charm of a laid-back, no-frills dining experience. The food is delicious and has always been great. The oyster shots are really really good, and the shrimp cocktail is fantastic. The mojarra frita and coctel de Cameron are both delicious. The flavors are authentic and fresh. The staff is friendly, the service is top-notch, and the waitress is very attentive. However, the salsa is too spicy to enjoy and causes heartburn. Also, while the food is good, customers feel that if prices are not cheap, the dishes should be made accordingly. The staff should not be defensive about simple observations from paying customers. Parking is across the street, and it is not kid-friendly unless kids like seafood.
