“La Parilla Halal Mexican Restaurant in Plano is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the owners were incredibly nice, hospitable, and genuinely friendly. They took the time to recommend their best dishes, which made the experience even better.
We ordered the carne asada, and it was beyond delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served in a very generous portion. It came with rice, beans, and salsa, all of which were fresh and tasty. To top it off, the owner surprised us with additional food on the house so we could try more of their menu, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture.
The food is authentic Mexican cuisine,super clean, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

“This has been our go-to neighborhood Tex-Mex joint since moving to the area a year ago. Consistently solid food and service. The house frozen margarita ($12) is outstanding, includes a splash of Gran Gala on top, and is served in a beautiful glass. Just $8 during weekday happy hour ('til 6:30) and $6 all day Monday. The salsa is one of the best I've had. Tacos al Carbon, Chepa's tacos, and brisket enchiladas are always excellent. The only disappointment has been the enchiladas verdes with carnita meat (gristly and oily).
Service is friendly and efficient; a manager always seems to be present to ensure this. Atmosphere is better than most Mom & Pop Mexican restaurants.
If you pick up a To Go order, I would check it before leaving as we've had items omitted from orders in the past.“

We have yet to even be charged for substitutions. It makes a place like Lupe Tortilla a ridiculous mistake; a mistake we only make once. All the staff at S T-M rotate the dining area making sure everyone is taken care of. Management is visible and refilling chips, taking empty plates, checking drinks - there is a magnificent sense of family inside the restaurant's culture that they then extend to you. Nuestra camarera esta noche fue Melissa, and she was truly exceptional in every way. Thank you all for a wonderful experience yet again. I think I have about 3 days of meals in my leftovers before I'll need to return.“
