The customer service was top tier as the person at the counter truly made sure I liked everything while taking extra efforts to ensure the quality of the food. The blue mystique is so good and really mellow for a smoothie not too acid, the cure juice is naturally sweet but satisfying, and the burrata toast is probably one of the best toasts I ever had in my life. I am gonna make an effort to come again before I leave as well attempt to make it at home because damn 😍😅

“4.3 stars. I’ve worked down the street from Jen’s Place Bakery & Cafe (JPBC) for nearly 3 years but somehow never managed to check it out. After a fortuitous conversation with co-workers yesterday about Chicken & Dumplings, they raved about the Thursday special and how it was imperative for me to try it out here. I stopped in around 2 pm for a late lunch and ordered the special. A warm bowl of Chicken & Dumplings, side of green beans, side salad and a house roll was about $16. Quality of food was nice. Employees were upbeat, friendly, and working beautifully as a team. Clean restaurant with lots of funny, inspiring, varied quotes and famous sayings on the walls. The sweets here looked amazing so definitely will be back to try their other offerings.“

“This little joint has been an East Dallas treasure for some time. When you think of mom's home made breakfast. Best describes Gold Rush, from the fluffiest pancakes which IMHO is their clame to fame. I might order a tradional fried egg and bacon breakfast, but bet your bottom dollar it's coming with a short stack of pancakes. As you imagine the tastiest ham slice. remember that they do lunch. fall apart pot roast, hamburgers will not disappoint, chicken fried steak, why not have an omelet for brunch, they'll do it just right. It's not a big place in any way. You get there and you see an empty table go ahead and seat yourself. if there's a short line. you might have to stand between 5 and 8 minutes but everyone in line is cordial. when guests leave their table, grab it, even if it hasn't been cleared off very shortly someone will come by a cleaned your table. while you wait hopefully a member of staff already given you a menu. Be ready when someone takes your order. and the place can be hopping. Give it a shot, I'm sure you will find your visit enjoyable and the food done right.“

Like I would avoid the ones with eggs because despite what the sign says, it's always almost exclusively eggs. Just about every other one is top tier. Even the standard jalapeno and cheese is one of the best I've had outside of Czech Stop, and much more local.“

It was pretty quiet during dinner, which made me think maybe people assume it’s only a brunch spot and don’t come in the evening. “This new cafe was amazing with so many options. I had the Olivia latte with lavender cold foam and was the best coffee I’ve ever had. The Olivia sandwich is to die for with the pistachio pesto! Steak sandwich is amazing with carmalized onions. The inside is so cute and very clean. The staff is always attentive and very friendly! Overall a 10/10!! Would reccomend to all ages. “The food was excellent ! The service is the best ! The same host and waitress have been there a while . They make you feel comfortable and relaxed . I had the Shrimp and Crab Louis salad ! It's a little pricey at $42.09 but it's pretty seasoned and very fresh . It truly has the New Orleans vinaigrette that lightly coated the lettuce and seafood . Of course their chicken broth is delicious and my other favorite is the popover with strawberry butter that comes with every meal ! And please taste your food before you season even if you think it looks plain .... It's why you pay these prices for perfectly turned out food ! And try going for their afternoon tea !“

From the shish kabob to the hummus to the rice and fried cauliflower and lamb meatball and even the baklava with ice cream suggested by our waitress, we fell in love with a new authentic Turkish restaurant! The service was great and we even met a wonderful family having a birthday. The atmosphere was perfect! I cannot wait to go back!!! We also had Turkish coffee and a cappuccino!“
