“Excellent service and amazing homestyle country cooking. A classic Southern diner. The location was clean, the service providers are very friendly, the food portions were enormous, and very delicious. The prices are very reasonable as well. We will be coming back repeatedly.“

“Delightful French experience in downtown Houston. Tucked into the front of a hotel, I was drawn by the lower prices (about half of most of the nearby restaurants and food options).
Once inside, I made choices of a savory crepe (spinach & feta, although the 12 sweet flavors were tempting!), a strawberry-mango smoothie, and a coffee.
The barista / chef whipped it all up fresh in minutes, and I spent a half hour relaxing in this gem of a cafe.“

“I went here for my lunch break today. Overall, I loved it. I got the Reuben sandwich, which was delicious. The fries were just ok. The servers were great and checked on me 2-3 times. Food was out quickly, so a great spot for a 30 minute lunch break! Spent just over $10.“

“I love coming here for my coffee when I head to work.
My only complaint is that the hand written menu at the drive thru is way too small for me to read. I love that it's hand written but I wish they would hire someone to hand write a sign that fills their entire display case with the menu so I can read it without having to pull up the menu online before I go.“
“Don't want to make a biased post due to the fact that I DJ at this establishment, but from a customer's standpoint I would say that the atmosphere is great. The crowd is mixed with both young and old as well as the music which consists of blues, zydeco, r&b, and hip hip/ rap closer to the end of the night. Friday nights is a packed house. Saturday night is a great chill time. Sunday night plays host to the battle off the DJs. So if your ever in the area Friday/Saturday night stop by and you will find me DJ Lil Tay on the 1s and 2s.“

“If I could give this place a million stars I would. I worked in coffee for ten years at a wide variety of different shops and never have I had coffee this good. The girls working had excellent recommendations, and we enjoyed the atmosphere immensely. I'm so glad we came. You've made lifelong customers out of us.“

“The food is very delicious, a young lady who has worked there for many years is very friendly. I don't know if she still works there. I have a hard time not going, the bad thing is the long wait... if they took orders by phone it would be a lot of good for the business and for the client.“

“I highly recommend this Café. I ordered to go as I’m leaving state after breakfast, but the girl that helped me carry my drinks out was super sweet. Not being from Texas I was curious about everything on the land and she was very informative (I should’ve gotten her name). I ordered the Sycamore 2s which was 2 pancakes (choice of 1/2 waffle or 2 slices French toast), 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon (choice of sausage also). I got my son an order of French toast, and a friend the brunch burger. Everything was AMAZING. The server mentioned Mondays they have a mimosa special (she told me exactly but I forget it). I like over medium eggs and this is the first place I’ve been that’s gotten my eggs PERFECT the first time around. It’s an adorable little café and there’s a wedding venue in the back. I highly recommend trying their food if you haven’t before. I took photos but it won’t let me add them to my review.“

“I'm giving a 5 star plus because they're usually good and I throughly enjoy their products especially there smoothies, they are awesome but today the gentleman that made my drinks was no bueno. It was disappointing. By the time I walked back to my job across the street(Central Library)...My drink looks like this it started separating and I shook it and it still separated...very disappointing since I couldn't return back to Fresh before they closed and my break was over...Not a happy camper...????♀️“

“Been coming here for a year or so and haven’t had a bad meal yet. Have brought a few different people for lunch and haven’t had anyone disappointed yet. There are times where the wait is longer due to large orders from the surrounding workers, but they’ll let you know it’ll take a few minutes longer. Would recommend.“
