A few dozen oysters were had tonight—all fabulous. But my faves were something I’ve never had before: The BBQ oysters with house-made blue cheese dressing. Just delicious.
I couldn’t decide which type of mussels—fra diablo or the pesto chardonnay—so I ordered them both. I was not disappointed. Ask for the garlic bread. OMG. Chef Megan and Brenna took great care of us. It was nice to see David too!

Casear salad portion is huge (seems like a thing in Galveston), grilled Texas Red Snapper is quite good (some parts are too dried but center is ok). Watermelon mojito is average. Sat night. Too noisy for me. Our waitress was really nice and the manager came twice to check on us.

Saltwater Grill offers top-notch food and impeccable service. The marinated tuna tower and seafood fondue are highly recommended dishes, while the oysters Rockefeller and seafood options like sea bass and chicken Marsala are also delicious choices. The ambience is warm and inviting, though the noise is very energetic. The food is flavorful and prepared with the right amount of seasoning, on point every time. The staff are hospitable, attentive, and kind, providing terrific service even when busy. Diners feel like they are in a nicer restaurant but can be just as casual as a local favorite, leaving full, happy, and eager to return.
