“I'm a trucker and I broke down on Main St 2 days ago. Looks like I will be here for at least another day. Simply put, the people here in town are amazing. From the local police to the gentlemen who pulled me out of the street (at no charge), to the employees at Brookshire's who were very friendly and even let me shave and freshen up in their bathroom this morning. Super super super awesome people here. Made this North Carolina boy feel almost like he was at home. This is America done right.“

“We came here for the peach ice cream! It was delicious but just wish there were peaches in it. It was more vanilla than peach but still very yummy. The people who work here are so sweet and helpful. They were one of the best parts about this stop!“
