“I felt as if I were stepping into a Mexicali B.C. tienda y taceria (store and taco shop) from my childhood. Their menu is extensive, and you can order prepared Mexican meats (by the lb) to go. Bring your own drink if you want something iced.I ordered the barbacoa torta and the boss lady had two beef tacos. They were very tasty! The salsa bar is jammed packed with amazing salsas and various condiments; the orange one (which I suspected as having habaneros and carrotts) was spicy with a little sweetness. Free chips are not the best...but hey, they're free. We'll definitely be back to try their other offerings.“
“We tried this place about 3 months ago and have been back probably 10 times! The owner has cooked every time other than once and it has been BEYOND delicious! But this recent time we went there was a female cook, and it was not as good as usual nor was she very friendly :/ she could’ve just had an off but day we were definitely disappointed“
“First time ever to an El Felix restaurant. We visited the Greenville, TX location and had Nicole as a waitress. We did not see an item on the menu and she went out of her way to check on it for us. Best chips ever at a Mexican restaurant we loved them. The food was wonderful especially the guacamole.“
“My wife and I were travelling thru town and stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is bright and has a nice decor. Our waiter was very friendly and provided great service. Both our meals were excellent. My wife is picky about the salsa and she loved it here. I had chicken and it was cooked great (in other Mexican restaurants the chicken has typically been dry). So to sum up, we really enjoyed Tamolly's.“
“If you can look around the dingy look of the restaurant the food is absolutely amazing! Not to mention the giant portion sizes they give you. I'm a fat person and couldn't eat the entire meal! Best 14.68 I've ever spent on Mexican food! Definitely worth stopping into this little known whole in the wall! Great little place to stop after doing some joy riding around town.“
“I love this place. Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm here in the evenings because the taco Tues and Thurs. You won't get better Mexican food anywhere else. They are so sweet too. I recommend it for any reason. Hungry, hungry and hung over, sweet tooth, yep just come and try your self. It's worth it.“
“Everything was delicious when we got it. Unfortunately we did not get our plates together and the delay from our waiter Pedro our food was cold and no drinks. Cold or not the food was Amazing and one of my favorite restaurants in hunt county. The only complaint I have is our original waiter Pedro was awful. He hardly came around, was very slow and very rude. The other tables around us complained about his service and attitude towards them as well.David took over for him and turned the whole evening around. David was amazing, friendly and attentive. He truly saved the meal. If you go try to sit in David’s section or ask for him he is the absolute best!“
“Great place. We love salsa. The house salsa is not spicy at all. So we ordered the Habenero and tomatillo. Be very careful with the habanero. Lunch combo Fajitas were great. The Alamo was amazing. This dish can serve 2 people very easily. Staff kept everything filled. Cool atmosphere.“
“Wow.. it's a hole in the wall restaurant inside a mom pop shop. The Mexican Food was way better than I expected. Don't forget the Mexican glass coke trust me you'll love it.The food was delicious… the lengua carnitas barbacoa tacos were very tasty. Tell the lady that you want flour even if you charge more. The corn ones are also delicious but I prefer flour.“
“Be brave when you go here. Small place and the decor needs work- a ton of work. That said, the food is very good and authentic. The ceviche is good stuff! Oddly, the wings are fantastic! Toss caution to the wind and try this place. Get your order to go if you are more comfortable with that. One caveat- there is a pic of the owners with Chuck Norris. Need I say more?!?“
“I just can't say enough about this place! I tell everyone what a great restaurant this is every chance I get. The hostess is as sweet as they come. The salsa is warm and delicious! Our waitress Mary was quick and very friendly to us and she was so awesome with my son. The food is authentic, has great flavor, and is plentiful! I have been returning to this establishment for 10 years. I always go back!!!“
“In a business, it's a given that mistakes can and will happen. What separates you from the pack and makes you a great business is how you handle it. We had a decent order and there was a missing ingredient on 5 of our items. I went to the counter just expecting a cup of cheese and would've been ok with that but this store went above and beyond by completely remaking those 5 items without a pause. I'm impressed. Thank you to those team members!“
“This place was great! We loved everything! We were promptly seated upon arrival (the host had a grumpy face - they should choose a host who will smile and welcome guests, but I let that go), chips and salsa right away, drink orders taken immediately. We asked for spicy salsa and it was amazing! If I had to critique, I would wish for just a bit more flavor, but the spice was great and we loved it!!Our server was friendly, attentive, and informative, made no mistakes on orders. Excellent service! The food was very good, very flavorful, perfectly done. I have no complaints, it was extremely enjoyable. The only comment I'll make is that they need sharp knives!! My dull and pathetic knife would NOT cut my carne asada, a thin strip of steak. I tried 2 other knives, just in case mine was just dull, and they were all useless. Literally would not cut the meat. I ended up ripping it apart with my hands. Oh well. The atmosphere was pleasant and Mexican-styled.This was a great place to eat, highly recommended!Kid-friendliness: It's perfectly suitable to taking your kids out to dine.“
“This place was the best authentic me an food I’ve ever had! Very popular and parking was a concern, but we managed!!! Highly recommend for the foodies!!!Parking: Very small parking lot for such a bustling business. Very popular location with very few parking spots.“
