50 Best Chicken Wings near Hickory Creek

“With Blizzard 2021 going on we had no power so ventured out for food. Everything was closed it packed. We came upon Dominos. I walked in, placed an order and was out in 15! They were so friendly and attentive despite how busy they were! Thank you for those workers that came to work today and being so fast and positive despite the rush!! We appreciate you!“

“I was born in Indiana. When I was around 4 or 5 my Dad and used to take me to a Mr. Gattis in our small town. The memories I had were great. It reminds me of when everything was simpler and when I knew less. We recently moved to Denton. I wanted to go to a different Walmart because the one in Denton gets packed and sketchy in the evenings. As I was walking in, the bright Mr. Gatti's sign was right in front of me. I was enthralled. I immediately sent a picture to my Dad, and called my wife. My wife also went when she was a kid, and I had no idea. I forgot I even had memories of the place. We planned to go with both of our kids the following Sunday. Sunday finally came, we loaded the kids up, and we went. The space was small, but the memories are what mattered. There were now 3 generations in our family that had been, and I was proud of that. The pizza finally came. The staff were so kind and knew it meant a lot to us. Then I took the first bite.

The scene where the critic takes his first bite in Ratatouille; That was me and my wife in that moment.

We were smiling ear to ear.

As I was sitting there I realized, places like Mr. Gattis are what remind us of the little joys in life.

We are so thankful for Mr. Gattis.“

“Run, don’t walk, to Motor City Pizza. We ended up here by accident last weekend, after the restaurant we were going to was unexpectedly closed. This was the next closest non chain pizza place we could find so we decided to give it a try and we were SO glad we did. We sat at the bar. The bartender (I think his name was Brad) was friendly and personable and made some fabulous menu suggestions. We started with the potato chip chicken strips. They were fantastic. The seasoning in the batter was spot on, and they were piping hot and perfectly crispy. I ordered the Maurice salad, something I had never heard of. It was a very busy salad, lots of different flavors going on, but I am here to tell you it was one of the best salads I have ever had in my life. I am already trying to figure out when I can go back and order it again. Hubs got pizza, half Texas sweet heat and half mobster. Definitely one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, you could tell they use top notch ingredients. It’s rare we have such a great experience entirely “by accident”. We can’t wait to go back! Maybe next time I’ll remember to get pictures :)“

“Having been born & raised in New Jersey, and been to tons of pizza places throughout my life. This is the third best east-coast pizza I have ever had. Without a doubt the best I’ve had in Texas! Will absolutely order again!“

“Food was fresh, affordable and the presentation was even better. Music City Hot is one of their best flavors. Only things is I tried to order online once and it said they were closed and then I tried to call in an order and no one answered. This 1-2pm on a Wednesday so not sure if the hours of operation are correct.“

“These burgers are a bit on the pricier side, but they are gigantic and delicious. We’ve ordered for pickup and delivery several times, and if you have some time I definitely recommend eating in the restaurant or at least picking up your order yourself, as things tend to get soggy.
Things that stood out to me on this particular visit:
Neither myself or any of the customers that walked in (there were several) were greeted or even acknowledged. The phone was also ringing nonstop and was never answered. The two people working were extremely busy, but a simple, “Hi, welcome in, we’ll be with you in a moment” would’ve sufficed. I do also wish they were open a bit later especially for Fridays and Saturdays, it certainly appeared they were busy enough for it. I have to let it slide though, as the food, specifically the 2AM burger was phenomenal.“

“I had the burger and wings, and everything was delicious! The food was really good, and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. Great food, great service, and such a nice experience. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend Wing 2 Go!“

“I love it the food is cooked fresh, and the royal passion tea is the bomb 😊😊😊😊👌🏼“

“Dined in today with my husband. Romantically since we had the entire dining area. Tables are spaced out for distancing. At least 10 pick up orders while we enjoyed our hot and delicious wings. We always pick Pit and Cajun flavors, the fries were perfect too! Thanks to José, the cook, and Kyle provided great service!“

“So so so good!! Best boba tea and coffee in town hands down! You wont be disappointed! This place is a gem 💎“

“My first visit! I called in to order, and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I went in 25 minutes later and everything was fresh and hot! This was the best Korean BBQ fried chicken I have ever had in my lifetime! The french fries were perfect! Crispy and hot with a wonderful coating and honey butter flavor! This will be my go to place for chicken now! You can see that the staff prepare everything by hand, and the service is exceptional, love all the sauces too! Go ahead and try for yourself you will love it!“

“My first time eating at Wing Dash was a fantastic experience, with our cashier being extremely nice and knowledgeable on their menu items as well. Had their hot lemon pepper wings and couldn't have been happier. Good flavor, great heat and very meaty wing pieces. Their French fries are excellent as well, having a great balance of crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior. 5/5I will definitely be a returning customer 😁“

“Awesome atmosphere and food love it!“

“Hello just wanted to say the food hear is really good brisket burger is amazing the worker seth he is an amazing guy. Easy to talk to friendly and just over all an outstanding person. If y'all get the chance go see him and crisp burger and wings.“

“This must be the nicest and amazing Wingstop I have ever been to. Most of the Wingstop I have eaten at is mostly with loud music or got my order wrong. I am grateful for all the amazing service this Wingstop provided for me. There was one worker that I asked for extra ranch so technically you’d pay for extra ranch but this worker handed it to me for free. I am so grateful that finally I found a Wingstop that appreciate their customers.“

“Stopped in for lunch today and had a very enjoyable experience. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection. The Waffle fries were the best I've ever had. This place is truly a hidden gem directly in the middle of the city of Denton. You don't have to go to Carrollton anymore, to find the best korean fried chicken in the DFW. It is here 👍“

“Some of the best food I’ve ever had! We had the ramen and nude wings with garlic honey sauce and teriyaki. We will be back without a doubt. 5 star rating!!!!“

“Best burgers ever! Love this place and the friendly faces! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Friendly staff, dog friendly for your furry pets on the patio. I'm not a burger person, but the burgers are delicious. Plenty, of different cold brewskis on tap.“

“I picked up wings tonight not realizing my wife ordered Them 30 minutes ago. When I picked up the food, the fries were lukewarm, and that wasn’t Wingstop’s fault. I didn’t realize it and brought it to the attention of the cashier and she mentioned the order was 30 minutes old. At that point, the manager immediately had the fries remade and gave me fresh fries. That’s what I call customer service. I am so impressed in the food is always so good.“

“Always good. It’s 30 min from our house but we go anyway.“

“I love Kids Eat Free on Sundays and I love how you can get your own sides. Brisket is shockingly good!“

“Dickey’s BBQ never disappoints! The food is always delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, but what really makes this location stand out is the customer service.

The owner, Brandon, is incredibly friendly and genuinely takes the time to chat with customers and make sure everyone is having a great experience. He even offers samples of other meats so you can try something new and find another favorite!

You can tell Brandon truly cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. The combination of great food, friendly service, and that personal touch makes every visit such a great experience. Highly recommend stopping by Dickey’s BBQ—you won’t be disappointed!“

“Y'all are awesome! Asked in special instructions to draw come unicorns on the box, and the masterpieces were awesome! Super fast and delicious! Love it!“

“So good,I didn't know this was boomer jacks it just said boomers outside, had I known we wouldn't have gone ,lucky we didn't know.Last time we had Boomer Jacks in Frisco it was awful everything was just not good. This location was by far so different, service was great, drinks were great, food was incredible everyone was so kind. The whole vibe was just so great,it was actually my husband's birthday and we had drove to Denton to shop for a little bit and ended up at Boomers,by reading a review on Reddit about a good burger at Boomers so there we landed . Everything was perfect we definitely picked the right place, even other patrons were kind it felt like a small town friendly restaurant but in a big city. Keep up the good work, y'all got it down here“

“We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the staff in Avon, Ohio branch! They are so sweet! My father-in-law, Sherman, gets the most thoughtful attention whenever he visits the restaurant. (And he visits Cane's 2-3x a week! That's how much he loves Cane's chicken tenders and fries!) They even prepared a gift basket for his birthday today! Thank you!“

“Just overall good place with great food! you get alot of your money“

“At 1:05pm, we saw all the cars around this restaurant. We knew the crowd shows where the good food is. We were greeted as we walked in. They took our order. And my Cheeseburger was superb and my wife's Wings were good. Thank you for a nice lunch served fast.“

“Just went through the drive thru and the lady taking the order was so friendly. Then the cook who I’m sure was making a whole bunch of orders dropped off the food super quick and he was so nice very impressed by the small interactions and the food we great.“

“KJ was incredible!! Very attentive and friendly. Great service and super friendly. We will definitely come back to eat. We had drinks only this time but a great ambiance and friendly staff.“

“Awesome food and fantastic service.“

“Our family visited here tonight, yes while everyone is locked in during the corona virus craziness. We were the only ones dining in. The staff was very nice and took all precautions of cleanliness. We will definitely be back to this location! They were all awesome!“

“We visited the drive thru so have no knowledge of the atmosphere or if kid friendly. The chicken fingers were good but the quality declines as you drive home. I would have been happier with the meal if I could have eaten it there but over all I would say it was good and worth a try. I like their dipping sauce. The coleslaw was ok but I prefer a little sweeter slaw and slightly larger container.“

“Had a great experience for a 16th birthday with family! The Staff were amazing and made the whole dinner so much fun. Their food is awesome especially the smoked wings. We will definitely be back!“

“I placed an order online but after working 12 hrs I did not verify the store location and ordered it at another store. When I went to pick it up they said they did not have the order. I called the other stores and was told that because the food was ready they could not refund me. Which was fine, it was my mistake after all.

The manager heard this and called the store as well. After a discussion he told me that was not right and he was going to take care of us. This is why we come here, they are great people and take care of their customers first and foremost. Thank you again guys.“

“Best fun place to go with the team!!“

“My first time coming here or any ABW and I must say... the food i ordered was actually good. I went ahead and ordered the 3pc catfish w/fries and a drink. I made the right decision. Everything was hot and fresh. All 3 pieces were actually BIG. Next time I will order the 2pc. I gave them 5☆“

“I want to recognize Hannah for her exceptional service!! She was definitely supportive, knowledgeable, and very kind in handling an issue that I had -on my end of the ordering process. Overall, this store provides the BEST pizza with the BEST service in town!!“

“Opening Day and it was fantastic! Thanks for always having great customer service and the best food. So excited for this location at Crossroads!!!“

“4 out of 5 ⭐️ Cowboy Hot Lemon Pepper wings combo is definitely a winner in my book👍🏽👍🏽“

“ordered a 32 piece and were not disappointed! got Nashville hot and santa fe. Nashville wasn't very hot but still tasty. wings were great size and cooked perfectly. so juicy. fries also good. just needed a tad more seasoning. 8 out of 10 will order again!“

“I somehow made the mistake online of choosing carry-out instead of delivery. I called the 1301 FM 407 ste 209 store in Lewisville and quickly got an answer and the problem was corrected. I thought I’d forsure get a cold pizza 45 minutes later. Nope, they had the pizza to me in 10 minutes. Probably the best pizza and cheese sticks I’ve ever had. Management and employees deserve an A+.“

“Driver left pizza on ground didn't use the contactless delivery stand or the two chairs on my porch. Hurries back to car I tried to stop to ask for napkins and plates that were in the notes he said oh was not on receipt then looks at it and says my bad I didn't see that. I go to store and ask for a manager and the general manager is just as rude as he was acting as if customer service didn't matter 😒 🙄.I order alot from here and was very disappointed with the overall all service and the not willing to admit you gave bad service just making excuse telling me time is money for his drivers!“

“I was visiting from Canada and I came here a couple days ago to try Canes for my first time. I dined in and I had the BEST experience ever. The vibe in the restaurant was so sweet and my server was so nice. He would take my plates out without me even needing to get up and always asked if i needed anything. I had asked his name and he said it was Hayden. This young man deserves more recognition for the hard work he puts in. This being my first time at a raising canes I didn't know what to expect, but, it certainly wasn't restaurant type waitering. And another thing, the food was amazing. I had asked for extra fresh and they delivered. I was pleasantly surprised and now I wish we had canes in Canada. Love this place!“

“Update...

The best fried rice I've had in a long time. I go there sometimes twice a week.

Must've gotten a new cook, things are not the same the past few times I've been. I'll have to find a place place.“
