“The staff at Great American Cookies (1400 Shoal Creek #110) delivered delicious cookies and turned a lost bet into pure comedy gold! My brother Mitch sashayed in, looking like a Cookie Fairy. A bearded man decked out in a frilly pink tutu, a flamboyant feather boa, and tights! They had him prancing across the street like a giddy flamingo, twirling with exaggerated flair, striking absurd poses, and even curtseying with a flourish!

Mitch threw himself into the silliness, pointing his toes with dainty precision and strutting with a sway that left us all wondering if he was secretly loving his bearded ballerina gig a little too much—way too comfortable in that embarrassing getup! The staff roared with laughter over his spot-on toe point, eagerly asking if he’d return again, and posting those hilarious pics online to flaunt their fun-loving store spirit.

And let’s not forget the actual cookies, because they’re the reason we’d come back again. These treats are next-level: soft, gooey, and baked fresh on the spot. Everything was packaged beautifully, stayed fresh for the delivery Mitch had to make (still in that tutu, bless him), and tasted like heaven. Prices are great, and the store’s spotless, with the staff’s infectious humor keeping the vibe pure sugary fun. Five stars for the amazing treats and for helping with our pink princess!

“This is my favorite donut shop, I go pretty much every week. The owners are delightful, and the donuts are consistently delicious. The special donuts are always changing, but the cinnamon ones are always my first choice. I always get kolaches or breakfast items, and these ones are by far the best and cheapest in the area. On top of all that, there's tons of bottled drink options to go with whatever you get.
Highly recommend this place. I've never had something I didn't like, and I've never had a bad experience with the owners.“

“So we got the Dubai chocolate, chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, double chocolate chip, oatmeal rasin, oatmeal chocolate chip, a chocolate brownie and a salted caramel blondie. All. Of. Them. are good! They are fresh and delicious. They put the perfect amount of creme filling in the middle of the Dubai chocolate cookies. Some of the topping did fall of the top so be careful taking that first bite! I have zero complaints. The smell of the shop had me so ready to try the cookies! The packaging is too cute. They also have different packaging options for multiple occasions! I picked up a personalized tasting box from her and brought it home. After one bite of the peaches and cream cake, Rodrigo knew that she was the one (He said: “That’s It”). We had tried so many other bakeries, but it just wasn’t right. Jana is from Brazil and does things as they do 'at home.’ This was a special piece of Brazil that was a great touch to the evening. Jana was amazing to work with and just look at the cake – it tastes even better. It didn’t last but thirty minutes after cutting the cakes. I have already ordered from Jana again for other events. Go check her out, she will blow your socks off with her flavors and is so easy to work with.“

Tonight, my SO and I went out after a long week of working and wanted something sweet.
We were supposed to go to the one next door but I was impressed by how the worker was at the front just standing in front of the register attentive and not on her phone. (I have left many places without ordering because no one cared to greet and would just huddle in the back chatting or being on their phone.) My curiosity took over and I asked if we could go to Mochinut instead.
Yeah, it's just a drink, it ain't that serious but I work in the service industry and it's rare to find someone as neat, attentive, polite and hardworking as this worker. Honestly, it's rare.
The price was a little bit more than most boba places but then I saw the patience of how she carefully measured, stirred the ube before pouring it, leaving no mess. It's in a cute little clear can! And then after sealing it, she checked to see if there's leaks! ? I was so used to seeing my boba tea nonchalantly sliding on the counter and announced before the worker focus on something else that it took me by surprise.
?I'm very attentive to my own work and clients so seeing that, I excitedly pointed it out to my SO whose eyes got bright and impressed, too.
All I want to say that made it memorable for me and I appreciate that. Over a hundred bobas and this one made me remember her. I wish her success wherever she goes, man.

However, the customer service is what really sets this location apart.
