Went in for a job interview. Hopefully I get the job. Upon walking in I was asked if I had been helped. The establishment was clean. The environment was welcoming. There is lots of room and tables for guest. Didn't get the opportunity to try any menu item's. Hopefully next time.
I went for the oysters, because I had heard so much about them. I ordered both fried and chargrilled oysters. They were just ok... lots of butter and lacking in flavor.I would caution anyone dining here to check your bill carefully. Our server included a 20% tip to our bill and claimed it's automatic for parties of 5 or more. However, the menu clearly states in bold letters that the tip is automatic for parties of 6 or more. Wentfor a birthday dinner, and service was fantastic, drinks were great, and the food was delicious. One of my favorite restaurants to go to. Oysters were fresh, pontchartrain was great and the shrimp appetizer was a good start.
