I had dinner at Antica Osteria in October with a couple girl friends and it is now my favorite Italian spot in Houston! The pastas were so good! We each ordered a different dish, but I was lucky enough to try all three which were equally delicious: Penne Three Ps, Gnocchi Di Patate (with pesto) and the Vitello alla Romana. Antica is a warm, welcoming authentic Italian restaurant in a fabulous setting. My wife is a very picky with Italian food. She was born and raised in northern Italy, and is critical. This is her favorite restaurant, Italian or otherwise. Must try the Gorgonzola gnocchi. We order it as an appetizer because it is so rich. The lamb shank, veal piccata, branzino, are the best. This is a must visit. I would give 6 stars, but only 5 are possible.

I was so please to see the beloved Antica re-open in October 1. My daughter and I dined on the re-opening night and it was even better than before. The restaurant was fairly crowded and despite being the first night back, things ran incredibly smooth. Staff couldn't be more pleasant and all are adept at anticipating diners needs.
