Bodegas Taco Shop Reviews
Fresh avocado on tacos and perfect maduros.
Was just in here and watched the cashier absolutely belittle a homeless man who was going to the restroom.
When I asked him if that was how they treat people here he explained that it was okay to be disrespectful because some time ago a different homeless guy spit on the food and forced them to remake it.

Bodegas Taco Shop is a Mexican restaurant located in the museum district, well-known for its grilled fish tacos that can make one forget their surroundings with just one bite. The restaurant features a woodsy and cool interior and offers dishes such as chips and queso, house margaritas, chicken flautas, and buffalo wings. While the queso has been criticized for being watered-down, the service can feel slightly impersonal, but the chicken flautas and buffalo wings have received high praise. The rice has been noted to be undercooked, but the beans are a highlight. The sizzling fajita plate and flour tortillas were not up to par, yet the overall atmosphere and music of the restaurant are enjoyable. It is a good alternative for fast casual food, especially for those looking for something different from the food selection at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The parking situation is very limited and can be costly, making it best to Uber or walk. Customers often visit for take-out, enjoying the delicious tacos that fill them up and the fresh ingredients used in the food. The rotisserie chicken has been described as incredible, and the salsa is amazing. Despite some inconsistencies in food and service, the buffalo wings continue to have a strong following, keeping customers returning for a satisfying meal and the experience of visiting this spot after exploring the museum.
