“I came here on the spur of the moment and I was about 30 miles away but I'd read about how good the burgers sounded and I decided to check it out, I didn't have anything on my plans that night. The burger was SO good and the people working in the restaurant were super friendly it really changed my opinions on people in Houston and the food! “This place is amazing. We went for the first time and already plan on coming back. So far, this is our favorite burger spot in Houston. The staff was incredibly kind, the food is made fresh, the drink options are great, and the vibe inside is welcoming and relaxed. I would recommend this to any local. We will definitely be back. So happy to have found a close, family run burger spot.“

“Had been hearing about Lankford’s on TikTok and decided to give it a try. One creator rates their burger very high, better than some of my gotos, so I was excited.
The good
- service was amazing. Our waitress greeted us, had amazing recos, and just had incredible positive energy
- the burger, fries, and tots were A+ We both got the Classic Cheeseburger and it didn’t disappoint. They have a ton of options in burgers but I always prefer to try a classic lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions cheeseburger as the litmus test!
the just ok
- we ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. They were seasoned well but very overcooked. Not the best look, but the burgers more than made up for it.
We will be back to try other offerings based on this first experience!“

“I checked this place out because of the high reviews and the food matched the ratings. I got the Mushroom Swiss Burger and it was very well seasoned and tasty. Customer service, maybe not the cheerful welcoming face but I cant knock them to hard because I havent had an issue. Overall, the food matches the ratings.“

“A quest for best smash burgers in the Houston area brought us to Hotline. We were not disappointed. Perfectly laced thin smash burger patties on a soft fresh potato bun was just what we needed on this cold Jan afternoon. And the hot crispy fries were just the icing on the cake. Perfection. Not sure if it was the owner or an employee but he was very friendly, quick service and made great suggestions. Must also mention, we took a peek inside as we’re leaving and the restaurant was very clean. Got my vote! 🗳️“

The man as the cashier made me feel very welcomed and happy to spend my money there and the chef lady in the back made me satisfied to spend my money there and eat. “Located I guess Garden Oaks? Is Millers Cafe. Since 1980 this bad boy has been pumping em out (pause). It’s home to the world famous “almost famous burger”. Now I live closeish to here and just the random restaurant in a shopping center caught my eye.
Now this is in a shopping center so there’s ample parking. Walk in and it’s straight outta a time long forgotten. Kind of. lol they literally have an old Houston Oilers schedule on the walls.
I go up to order and am just amazed by the aesthetic of this place man. It’s like your favorite dive bars favorite dive bar. S/o @texasdives
Chili 8/10 - just som quality chili there. Not too much cumin and not too hot. Just some nice food that’ll warm you up.
Double Cheeseburger 8/10 - quality burger here. You know what you’re getting and it’s cooked right in front of you. Def one of those places you tell your gal you’re gonna take her to. One of those “they cook the food in front of you”.
I fw the vibe of this place so much. I’m glad the food was good. 100000% check it out. Big Truss.

“I was told this is a Houston staple and no lies were told! I’m an old soul and this is a community joint! First, the oldies playing smoothly in the background just put me right at ease. Who don’t love Motown? The older gentleman who took my order was sweet as pie, and told me to come back 😂 (got a side eye from the man). But the burger. They don’t make them like this anymore! Patty amazingly, cheese gooey, crisp lettuce, mayo hit. Best part was all the folks coming and going. Testament to this place! Cheers to another 60 years! #HEH“
