Everything's waiting for you at Downtown Cafe.This is a standard American Chinese restaurant and if it were in the most downtowns in the country where there isn't a lot of great food, I would give it a higher rating cuz service was not bad and the food is okay.But compared to the wealth of sensational spectacular food that Houston has to offer it just doesn't get it done. Having said that it's far from the worst of the downtown lunch options in Htown.
HunTastic Food! Hunarific service! I had the general Tsos bean curds. The curds were curdy the beans made me fart in that good good way. Come here for the won ton soup. So much ton you will think it two ton soup. Those won't make you fart a ton like the bean curdz! I brought my coworkers her for the atmosphere but stayed for the atmosphere. Yummy yummy in my tummy!
Food is good, I am Vegan and they have a few options with Tofu. The place is old and in desperate need of renovations though. It looks dirty, but it's just old. The people are extremely friendly, and they always make the food fresh. I have been going here for years.
