It is a small hole-in-the-wall place, but the food is phenomenal. The hara masala is particularly excellent and the steak tikka is both spicy and delicious.

Based on the reviews, Himalaya restaurant offers absolutely delicious and authentic South Asian food. The Mutton Biriyani is the best ever tasted, with a perfect combination of mutton and long grain rice. The Beef Biryani is also considered the best in the entire city and state, full of masala and not dry, coming with green raita. Other popular dishes include the best garlic naan, which is soft and full of garlic and butter, chicken puff pies, chicken hara masala, daal fry, and papadams. The mango lassi is top notch, and the mint lemonade is so good people stop in just for that. Portions are huge. The food is fresh, amazing, and authentic. The owner is cool, kind, and humble, walking around greeting people, making recommendations, and ensuring everyone is satisfied. The atmosphere can get a bit crowded but feels lovely and personal, like home. Service is appropriate for an Asian/Indian restaurant and can be great. A 10% gratuity will be added.
