Hull & Oak, located in the Laura Hotel, offers amazing food and even more amazing service. The restaurant has a cozy and upscale atmosphere, making it a great spot for a relaxing meal. The biscuits and gravy are absolutely fantastic, the best some guests have ever had. The peaches and cream French toast is out of this world and delicious. Chef Josh prepares the food, which is well prepared, very well seasoned, and amazing. Servers are excellent, extremely attentive, and very knowledgeable. The ambience is cosy and tastefully put together, beautiful, and reminiscent of a 60’s retro diner. The restaurant is also light and bright with a beautiful color combination, creating a welcoming environment. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes from the menu, and the quality of the food remains consistently good. The restaurant is a perfect place for breakfast or a date night, and the bar area looks ideal for happy hour. While service can sometimes be slow or lacking basic skills, many visitors still find the food and surroundings worth returning for, especially for a relaxing and memorable dining experience in downtown Houston.
