La La Land is a favorite coffee shop in Houston. The staff is friendly and cheerful, creating a great atmosphere. The workers are very nice, communicative, and attentive. Customers are told "I love you" when leaving, which is heartwarming. The coffee is good, and the banana latte is incredible. They use real fruit in their lattes, which tastes magical. The matcha drinks are delicious, and the oat milk matcha has the perfect desired taste. The avocado toast is good, with soft bread, but the restaurant puts a hearty amount of red pepper flakes on it. The location can be incredibly busy, with large groups making it difficult to find the line. A larger waiting space is needed to accommodate higher volumes of foot traffic. Despite the chaos of the crowd, the staff is kind and thankful for patience. One drink had to be made three times after going missing. The matcha drinks are delicious but may not be worth enduring the crowd again.
