Local Poke is a go-to spot for the best poke bowls in Houston, TX. The experience is phenomenal, with friendly and helpful staff who make guests feel incredibly welcomed. The portion-to-price ratio is perfect, offering generous portions and great prices with no up charges for avocado. The marinated salmon is a standout, though the marinated tuna is not as good. The food is always fresh, and the menu offers a great variety of toppings. For newcomers, the staff walk through the menu and even let people sample before ordering. A popular side is the spam musubi, though each person working makes it completely differently. The only downside mentioned is that the kimchi is not for everyone. Overall, it is the only poke place many will go to for a fresh, well-priced fix.
