I like a lot their basic traditional plate of rice and chicken and their ginger and cilantro sauce is superb. I love it. You can have it without the cilantro if you prefer. It is comfort food. Not a lot of spices. Soft in your belly.Parking: You can go in the back (first entrance) if you don't want to go through the lawn area but the lawn area is nice if you want to hang out.
My boyfriend and I LOVE this place!! My favorite is their popcorn chicken with their spicy sauce. A MUST TRY!!! Their service was great too, very fast and the chef was very kind and friendly too! Definitely recommend !

I'm so happpy they opened a rooster and rice here in Houston. I used to eat the original location all the time when I lived in Northern California. A true gem and great addition to the neighborhood. They deserve all the best and I wish them the best of luck and great success here in Houston! Hainan chicken is one of my favorite things to eat and they do it well. I feel the city doesn't have very many options for hainan chicken so I'm glad to finally have one that does it right....read full review
