The tamales way way too spice for me and my family. I was impressed with the cake designer....beautiful... definitely one of the best Mexican place for sweetie around us. Unfortunately I am not Mexican so enjoy all goodies as a native would.
Went back during a recent visit to Houston, as this used to be one of my favorite and most reliable Mexican places there. Oh boy, how times have changed. In a nutshell: prices have gone up while portions have shrunken. You pay about 30-40% more while getting 30-40% less food on the plate. Chips and salsa are no longer free and automatically delivered to your table once you sit down. I've driven by here for years and never came in. It is a very nice bakery with such a great variety of breads, cakes, cookies and pastries. The service was great, the smell when I exited my car to go inside was delicious. It felt warm and oh so delicious. It's hard to purchase just a few pieces because everything looks amazing. I tried the jalapeño cheese and sausage kolache and it was fantastic. Large sausage wrapped in a wonderful Hawaiian bread tasting roll. OMG, delicious....read full review
