A great restaurant! I know it best because it hosted some of the meetings for Houkulele, a ukulele social group. Besides their main eating area, they have rooms that can be set aside for purposes such as our ukulele jams. This is an especially valuable resource to have in this neighborhood where a lot of the restaurants are too small or busy for larger group activities.
Always a consistent favorite. Bartenders are excellent and food is still good after all these years of being a customer. The place feels very warm and homely. Outdoor seating is a nice option too in decent weather. Very highly recommended.

Shepard's pie on a plate with baked beans......nOt lamb either. Service was sketchy. They know they are closing it was a sad way to say goodbye. It's ok Redlion has more on draft, better service and food too. Bye Black Lab you were good at one time.
