One of Houston's hidden secrets. I have always enjoyed dining and take out food from Theo's especially the pizza. ANY pizza is delicious, and I will say the Aphrodite is my all time favorite. I am sad to say the Houston Chronicle reported on 12/27/19 this establishment was closing due to the demolition of the strip center. I hope Ted "Theo" Mousoudakis opens another restaurant for Houston to enjoy his food.
This is a travesty! Theo's will be closing their historic location next week. I love this place. It's next to Katz and after the club when Katz was too crowded Theo's was the spot! Then it just became the spot! The food Is fresh and authentic. This is a piece of history. It was late night when I went and they were out of pizza crust but the owner went and made some from scratch for me. That's Theo's! You feel like family when you are there. I've been going here since they opened with my family every time we make it to Houston. We get the spinach cheese pizza with gyro on top-the BEST. We also like the Greek salads, and the gyros. It is so good. Don't pass it up!
