Third Place on 20th Street is a rare neighborhood gem with a great aesthetic and atmosphere. The space is peaceful, bright, and feels like a cafe in a different part of the world. The service is amazing, warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The coffee is absolutely fantastic, expertly prepared, and full of flavor. The pastries are fire, the yogurt is good, and the empanadas are delicious. The breakfast taco is a standout, hearty and perfectly satisfying. The Turkey Melt and Beef Bulgogi bowl are fabulous. However, the matcha quality can be inconsistent; some found it too milky with a poor flavor profile, even with ube foam. Others love the best ube drinks and empanadas in the game, praising consistency. A versatile spot, it operates as a cozy coffee shop by day and transforms into a restaurant, Jūn, by night. The space is also fantastic for pop-up art shows, supporting the local artist community. With excellent coffee, delicious food, and outstanding service, Third Place is a fantastic addition to the Houston dining scene.
