We try to check out a couple different breakfast spots every time we come to Houston. Occasionally we’ll find one we go back to, but most aren’t very memorable.
We tried Toasterz Cafe on our most recent trip and I am so glad we did! The service was phenomenal and the food matched it.

Toasterz Cafe is a pretty nice hole in the wall in Houston with an amazing vibe and aura that makes you feel right at home, though the atmosphere is somewhat dated. The food is great, unreal, and so good that visitors return. Specific praised items include a BLT with an over medium egg, called one of the best sandwiches ever, a fantastic omelette, bananas foster, and chicken and waffles. The fries are seasoned very well. The food is fresh, though service can sometimes take a little while and there can be occasional order mix-ups. The owner is incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, with great service from the front staff who are really kind and sweet. A downfall is that it is more on the expensive side. The experience is great enough that customers call it a new favorite spot, definitely recommend it to newcomers, and plan to return.
