About Viet Tien Tofu

Viet Tien Tofu is a no-frills Vietnamese eatery that specializes in traditional tofu dishes. The shop has a modest appearance and occasionally a language barrier, but it has built a loyal following thanks to its fresh, flavorful offerings. Customers appreciate that the tofu is always fresh daily and reasonably priced compared to other local shops.

The fried tofu, with its crisp exterior and soft interior, is a standout, available in a variety of tempting flavors. Customers can mix and match their selections from the self-serve buffet-style warmers, with rectangular prisms priced at 4 for $1 and the longer tofu wrapped in bean curd slightly more expensive. The establishment also offers delicious fried donut cruellers, which are a popular accompaniment to rice congee. While the shop accepts credit cards, a small fee is charged, so cash is preferred.

Though the shop may seem small and unassuming, it is one of the oldest tofu shops in Houston and remains busy as ever. It has maintained a loyal customer base for over a decade, even as ownership has changed hands. With its delicious, authentic Vietnamese fare and friendly service, Viet Tien Tofu is a hidden gem worth seeking out for those looking for a satisfying and affordable tofu-centric dining experience.

5 stars all around!

This shop specializes in tofu but also offers a great selection of traditional Vietnamese desserts and snacks. I picked up a variety of items, and everything was delicious—especially the tofu! They have several types of fried tofu as well as tofu-based desserts, and every one I tried was excellent.

The prices are very affordable, too. It was my first visit, but I'll definitely be coming back!

Best tofu shop nearby, very clean and fresh

I always come here for the Banh da Lon dessert, so thick and good size for it price i think it’s like $3.25. The Vietnamese worker always chill I had no bad attitude experience since coming here for years
