“I was in town at Covert and I asked where to get a good sandwich. I stopped in and i didn’t catch their names but they were the coolest folks! I had the chicken pesto and YES SIR this isn’t your normal sized panini by far! Also their cold pasta salad was fantastic! I’m 45 min away but I’m definitely holding this gem in my back pocket!!!“

The owner is someone you really want to give your business to because she is so friendly, accommodating, and grateful for you to be there. “Big taste, bigger heart! In the days following the Central Texas floods, Lulu showed up to help with the flood cleanup, ready to get her hands dirty. She worked alongside people who had been displaced by the flood, and told me several times that any time any of the flood relief volunteers or survivors needed a warm cup of coffee, she would love for them to come by the shop and provide that at no charge. I thanked her for supporting our community, but never personally made it by there, although I did share that with others! Today I went in to drop off a barrel for food collections because of course she jumped at the opportunity to support those struggling in our community in another way. I told her how much I appreciated her, and how sad I was that I couldn’t eat any of the amazing goodies in her cute shop because I have Celiac disease. She showed me several treats that are gluten free and said she was very careful about cross contamination. She GAVE me a massive piece of her Basque Cheesecake, which I could not wait to get back to the car and try. Oh. My. Goodness. This stuff is actual heaven. It’s hands down the best cheesecake, gluten free or not, I have ever had. And I’m a foodie. I savored several bites (didn’t even wait to get home to a fork), and decided it was going to be my dinner. I also resolved to save some for breakfast. O have gotten back into the container FIVE times now as I continue delivering barrels and posters. I don’t think this little miracle of a treat is making it to breakfast 😂. If you want lovely treats in a cute store on the Most Beautiful Square in Texas served by an absolutely wonderful human, you have to go check out Lulu’s. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet Lulu herself.“

The ayam bakar (grilled chicken) meal was perfectly cooked and tasted so authentic. Crispy skin, moist chicken, rice and lalapan (lalapan is like a salad - it’s fresh lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, y’all get the idea) The yellow rice (nasi kuning) had that unique coconut fragrance that immediately brought back memories. The homemade sambal (hot sauce) was straight up delicious and if you like spicy, this is for you. It’s pretty spicy, but doesn’t set ya on fire ya know? Highly recommend this spot! “My children love birria and late night they were the only food truck open and I’m so glad they were. We’ve been paying $10 tops for 1 birria taco and we got 2 for $8. They had so much flavor and even the dip was so flavorful and we’ve never got that paying double. We’ve found our go to for tacos and birria. If I could rate them a 1000 I would.“

“I hired Bahler Street to cater my wedding and it was great! My guests absolutely loved the different flavors and the experience of watching them fire up the pizzas. The truck is also really nice itself, it isn't a greasy food truck like you might expect elsewhere. The staff were super nice and talented - and Amber was great to coordinate with leading up to the event. I also had two Gluten Free guests (one I forgot to tell them about and they handled it beautifully) and a few vegan guests - everyone went home happy and healthy! Highly recommend!“

“I was in Austin for the 4th this past weekend and had stopped in at the farmers market. I saw their booth and decided to stop in and check it out. I ended up getting the strawberry cheesecake and the boozy tiramisu cheesecake. OMG the strawberry is so delicious. I am from New Orleans so I will definitely have to take a trip back soon and get some more!

“I have been enjoying my breakfast tacos for a long time I have been paying from $6 dollars back in the day to $8 dollars for a long time, I was ok with the $8 dollars because I ask for 4 ingredients, but today they charge me $13 dollars!!! Wow. I think this was my last time of enjoying my two taquitos here. 😔“

“Young kid who took our order was very nice, however, there were some language barrier and made it hard to order and ask for specific stuff.. I always get excited when I see tripas on the menu.. I asked for it to be cooked extra crispy and they delivered! I was pretty happy about that because I have asked another food truck before and was done wrong and had to send it back and re-cooked.. also had a lengua taco and it was tender and delicious.. my bf opted for 2 breakfast tacos and we ordered 2 Agua frescas.. Sandia was delicious, Jamaica was just ok.. this may be my go to extra crispy tripa taco spot..“

Didn't try the birria but kiddos said they were good.. I requested extra crispy tripas tacos and they were amazing.. always great service in my eyes when they can accommodate their customers.. the shrimp machete had a different flavor than what I'm used to, but still was good.. the melon Agua fresca, however, was not good.. tasted like it was from powder versus fresh fruit..“
