“Stopped on the way back home to Temple from medical appt in Georgetown, mid morning. Our server , listed on receipt shows Tiffany G. Im not sure if she was the trainer or trainee. Both ladies were very nice and courteous. It made our dining experience so pleasant and positive. Service industry work can be tough. I hope their personalities persevere and they are always so positive with the customer service they provide. We wish them best and hope we find a reason to stop again. The lady cashing out customers wasnt so much nice or pleasant . She could learn from Tiffany G.

“I had a bean and bacon taco, chorizo and bean taco and my niece had the American plate, which had two giant pancakes.
This is my first time here. Found restaurant online.
Everything tasted good. Except the price for the taco. It was expensive. Anywhere from $3.50 to $4.50 per taco. The price per taco depends also on what you have in it.
The atmosphere was casual. Not crowded and loud. The customer service was good. It did take a while to get our food. But the food was hot and they DO have homemade tortillas.
I recommend Pitayo. Go check them out.“
“great beer and great place! always something fun to do, check their events!“

“Found this place by accident when I took a side by accident. Wife and tried the blackened tilapia and grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. Both were very good and the waitress was very friendly. Definitely will go again when passing through Salado.“

“We had a nice dinner here yesterday! We were a group of four people. The decor is interesting. I love historic and old architecture so the Barton House is fascinating to me. The food was delicious. The drinks were good too. The wine was a fine choice. Our waitress was friendly and nice. Dessert was scrumptious. I want to thank the wonderful lady with the son riding out the hurricane in Florida for dessert. I’m so sorry we didn’t get your name. We will definitely come back again! Thank you for an enjoyable experience!“

“If you're searching for a hidden gem that embodies charm and warmth, look no further than Salado Winery. This very small, quaint winery bar is a delightful escape from the ordinary, making it the perfect spot for wine enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, allowing you to truly unwind while sampling a fantastic selection of wines.
One of the highlights of my visit was the incredibly friendly staff. They greeted us with genuine smiles and were eager to share their knowledge about the wines on offer. The unique tasting experience allowed me to sample different varieties before making my choice, ensuring I found the perfect glass to suit my palate. Plus, the option to purchase bottles to take home is a wonderful touch for those who wish to extend their delight beyond the visit.
I had the pleasure of attending a bridal shower at Salado Winery, and it was nothing short of magical. The host had booked a private room for the event, creating an intimate setting that made the occasion feel extra special. A fantastic perk of the winery is that you are allowed to bring your own food, which adds a personal touch to the celebration and allows for a delightful pairing of culinary treats with their exquisite wines.
Overall, Salado Winery is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful wine experience in a charming atmosphere. With friendly staff, a great selection of wines, and the ability to customize your visit, it’s no wonder this little winery has stolen my heart. Cheers to many more visits!“

“There are many places to eat in Salado, Texas. If you want to go to a place that has unparalleled and exceptional service that has quality food that matches the service, then look no further. We were recommended by our business partner at Salado Creek Jewelers by Kiki Creations located in Salado at 106 N Main St, where we have a storefront inside their shop when looking for a great place to eat. Kim and Kiki said this is a must try. They were not wrong, as it is a phenomenal restaurant. We had the pleasure to eat here multiple times while staying down the road at the Inn on The Creek, and everything was extravagant. When you first walk in the door, you are greeted and immediately feel as if you are a part of their family. Everyone is very kind. They all make sure you are well taken care of. From the front hostesses desk, kitchen staff, waiter's,waitresses, and all of the people who work together, they provide an awesome experience. You will not be disappointed. The quality of the food is exquisite, and you will find no better while staying in Salado or if you're just passing through. We were unsure of what to get and wanted to try out their sampler platter and order their cheese curds. Let me tell you the flavors were exceptional and the cheese curds were not greasy and were filled completely with cheese, unlike some places that pass off a hollow cheese stick. The sampler was amazing, and we highly recommend the kicking bourbon sauce for the wings. We did the boneless wings, and they were amazing. On the sampler, you also receive two gigantic jalapeños full of cheese wrapped in thick bacon that is to die for. Your taste buds will definitely thank you, and your day will be significantly better just from eating there. I opted for a Shiner Bock, and it came out in a bone-chilling cold glass that went down so easily. The customer service is spot on as everyone made sure they are there for you without having to wave down your waiter or waitress. It's hard to find a place nowadays that cares about providing great customer service and amazing food. Let me tell y'all this place does both so easily that it seems natural. The restaurant inside was very busy, but all the staff ran the operation like a well-oiled machine, and despite how busy they were, they were able to provide exceptional service each time we were there. My only complaint is that I wish I saved room for dessert because I heard it too is out of this world. However, after eating here twice, we were so full that we didn't have the room. When we came the second time the very next day, we ordered the Shed burger with the jalapeño bun. The burger was delectable, and the bun was even grilled. The meat was very flavorful and not greasy at all. The sweet potato fries definitely hit the spot, and the portions were huge. The burger was so phenomenal we ate it so quickly I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it. If you are in Salado staying at The Inn on the Creek or just passing through, you need to stop here and eat. By not doing so, you are doing your taste buds a disservice. If you are a fan of great customer service, amazing food, that will keep you coming back for more, then look no further. The people at The Shed will definitely take care of you! From all of us at Texas Blue Courage Company LLC, keep up the outstanding work. We enjoyed everything and look forward to eating here again. Thank y'all for treating us like family and taking such great care of us. We definitely will be recommending y'all to everyone we meet. Respectfully, Texas Blue Courage Company LLC Justin and Sheila Kmiec“

“Probably the best, affordable and non-chain pizza in Georgetown. Staff is always friendly and some of the best vegetarian (not vegan) pizza I've had.
Vegetarian options: At least for of the pizzas are fully vegetarian
Parking: It's an HEB parking lot, so it's regularly busy but there is generally always parking
Wheelchair accessibility: It's wheelchair accessible“

“Very authentic German food. Friday and Saturday night there is a German oompah band playing. Also Friday and Saturday there is a buffet. The beer selection is all German, I remember drinking some of these when stationed at Ramstein. You will even see some peeps in lagerhosen! My wife had the pork cordon bleu and I had the jäger schnitzel, we both had the spaetzle noodles with the jäger gravy! Awesome! It was 2 hours from home but we will definitely be back!“

“Beautiful! Fun! Great tasting wine. Excellent service! Attentive staff. I watched the chef's in the restaurant work so seamlessly together as it seems intimidating for the guests to see everything happening there very professional and efficient! The rooms are beautiful and well kept! The grounds are very well maintained. It's HONESTLY my favorite place to be. LITERALLY my home away from home ?“

“This was our first visit after their reboot, and we were pleasantly surprised.
The furniture and decor have been updated to a fresher look. Even the dishes and flatware have been upgraded.
The menu is, thankfully, a work in process. While many items were originally removed, some favorites have returned. It was good to hear they're paying close attention to their customers and adjusting things along the way.
The quality of the food was great! We were there for an early dinner and had another couple with us. There was a good variety ordered, even including breakfast items.
The service was both quick and friendly. We will definitely be returning!“
