“I came to eat at another food truck in the park, and noticed this one was Black owned. I asked the cook (who was absolutely fine as can be) what her favorite dish was and she said the fluffy fish plate (catfish). To my genuine surprise, my food was absolutely fried and seasoned to perfection. Since I moved to Houston, people raved about Creole/Cajun restaurants to try, but this is the first time I legit felt the money was worth it. The Island Breeze lemonade I got was absolutely delicious too. Both the cook and the cashier were very friendly, and I'd highly recommend to anyone.”

“This is the perfect combination of "soul" and "Mexican" food. (Between "" because it is a buffet). You get way more options than any other Hartz, you can get a caldo de pollo and you Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, your enchiladas, your green beans, your fried fish, your red beans, etc., like I said, Soul&Mexican combination food. On top of that the service is top, they treat everyone like family and make you feel like they're cooking for you. 100/100!!! No doubt ??”

“I am completely in love with their ice creams. They have a rich and creamy taste. We tried:

1. Blueberry jelly donut - it's mix of berries and cookie dough (for donut). It has a sweet and tangy taste. 4.5/5

2. Caramel Dulce - I love caramel and this was by far the best caramel icecream with chocolate chunks. Base flavour is Dulce with caramel filled chocolate chunks in it. However, it was very sweet. I had a single scoop and it was more than enough for me ( for a person who has a sweet tooth).

“This restaurant's food is very acceptable. I had the grilled meat plate and it was freshly made and well-grilled. I did not feel the taste of Turkish food, sumac and Turkish spices taste were missing. I guess they want to please a certain crowd, the casserole, steak and potato eater. However, the meat was good, tender and well grilled. I had the plate of appetizer and they were all good. The only down side is the price. My bill was $62.00. I only had a tea with my lunch. Had I ha al kebab and a drink, my bill would have been at least $35.00 which is really expensive for lunch at a neighborhood restaurant. I was in Dubai recently and found the food to be as expensive as here, but everything they serve you is the highest quality and so good you could die the next day happy! Which is not the case here.”
