“My wife and I travel frequently to Austin and have for a number of years. With two of our children here, we have dined out at many of Austin's finest restaurants. I am a partner in a number of businesses in Sonoma County, California, including golf courses, theaters and a restaurant. I am rarely motivated to write a restaurant review, particularly a glowing review. My wife found Oz. Tap House online and it was very close to our hotel. My personal experience with tap houses is that they have great beer, but mediocre food and generally less than mediocre service. I went online and looked at the menu, still not particularly enthusiastic. But I decided to place a dinner order for my wife and I and was immediately blown away by the online ordering system. Virtually every menu item can be custom ordered in a dizzying variety of ways. I even remarked to my wife that it was the finest online ordering software that I had ever seen. But ordering is one thing and execution is another. My wife ordered the Oz. House Burger (Beef), cooked medium, substituting lettuce wrap for the bun and adding avocado with a small avocado jalapeno side salad. Again, the customization options were many. I ordered the Charcuterie Pretzel and a Side Caesar Salad, with no croutons. I knew the restaurant was only a couple of minute drive, but even then the speed of the announcement of the projected pickup time and the time itself was amazing; less than 15 minutes. When I picked up the meals at curbside, I told the waitress how impressed I had been with the online ordering system and she thanked me and told me she would have to tell her husband. Turns out Krista and her husband, Sean, own and operate the restaurant. I had assumed with the level of sophistication that it must be a franchise or chain, but no, Oz. is a true mom and pop restaurant. When leaving I told Krista that the proof would be in (i) whether the delivered food matched the order and (ii) the quality of the food. I had barely started eating when my wife announced that her salad was spectacular and the burger one of the best she had ever had. My meal was every bit as impressive. Again, uncharacteristically for me, I called Krista (even though the restaurant was hopping and I knew she was busy), just to tell her that the food was as good or better than the service. This is as advertised: true farm-to-market fare, exceedingly fresh, expertly prepared as ordered and quickly delivered. Yes, Oz. may not have McDonald's prices, but it has infinitely superior food, expertly prepared and efficiently delivered. We admittedly didn't even try what was probably the standout feature of the restaurant: the beer. I assume if the restaurant part of the tap house was spectacular, the beer side of it must be even more so. Next time. Do yourself a favor and try the Oz. Tap House. “I love this place. We usually go several times during the month. We love our Cosmopolitan drinks always made with our favorite Grey Goose Vodka. The food is amazing. I’m not really into spicy but here I can handle it. Last but no least… the service! The customer service. Fast, kind, always with a smile open to help and give you advises. They are so skilled and knowledgable. Waiters knows al the plates, and tastes. Also huge shout out to my Venezuelan friend. He is a bus boy and he is always goes above and beyond. I’m Venezuelan and it’s really nice to see him. Every time he knows I’m there he comes to say hi, give us a recommendation too and more! He is just awesome! Thank y’all“

“The cleanliness and atmosphere should be set as the standard across Hilton Garden Inns.Would get dinner earlier in the evening so it was quiet. Tended to immediately by staff who were great every time.One time, I worked late, ordered my food on my way up to room to shower, and it was ready when I returned. This was the highlight of the week.Really nice open layout but without the echoes. And if it gets loud here at the bar, you won’t notice in your room.More than likely will return.“

“We use to come here on occasion but the last time, which was over a year ago, the food quality had dropped. Well my daughter stopped by and talked me and my wife to trying Cheddars again. The food was back to the great quality.
I had the full rack a ribs with fries and steamed broccoli. My wife had the bake white fish( lemon pepper), fries and broccoli and cheese. My daughter had the Fried Fish and chips. The server was awesome.
The only issue I had was with the mini Kiosk on the table. The waitress took our order but I paid thru the kiosk and the display was nasty. I suggest maybe cleaning it after every customer. Oh I had an extra wipe from my ribs so I went ahead and cleaned it.“

“Healthy eating isn't always the easiest thing to come by when dining out in Texas. Honest Mary is a fast-casual kitchen preparing vegetarian, gluten-free and healthy bowls at their two branches in Austin. We stopped by recently and did their Sedona Lime and Med Harissa Bowl, both were freshly prepared and tasted very good. You can also do custom bowls choosing your own proteins, rice/salad base and other food items/sauces. Prices are about right for the food quality and portion sizes served. Seating area is a regular, casual restaurant and bowls are prepared fairly quickly.“

“I had an absolutely wonderful time over Father’s Day weekend taking my dad up there. Longhorn is one of his favorite restaurants and we were also blessed with the sweetest server. Her name was Petunia. Her energy was amazing. She was very attentive to me and my parents. She made us giggle. We will definitely be coming back up to that location very soon. She gave us some great suggestions on drinks, appetizers, and dinner all over. Amazing experience.

The live music is decent, the drinks do the job, and the food is good I think I mostly come back for it My biggest complaint is that the staff could check in on customers a little more often. A lot of the time it was faster for me to go up and get my own drink. Regulars typically get drinks first

That said, I've been here a few times and it's not a bad bar at all. If you're a regular, you'll probably get even better service. My advice is simple speak up if you need something and don't be afraid to be a little independent. You'll have a good time.“

“This place came highly recommended and didn't disappoint! Worth the money- the burger I got was fantastic. For $20 you can get a burger meal that's huge and 24oz domestic beer all included. The kids had chicken nuggets and tenders, they loved it. Also don't sleep on the Holy Mac. 🤤 Awesome food, awesome service.

Edit: I have to say, charging gratuity on two adults and 4 kids under 13 years old should be frowned upon, but even worse is not saying anything and not showing us the itemized bill- allowing us to tip a total of $55 on a $131 bill. It is not a complete "fine" dining experience, so server buses the table as well. When we arrived another patron was on a zoom call for what appeared to be a business call which was somewhat off-putting. Since it's a resort, not much of a dress code. Set expectations before going.
